Anthony Pellicano, our favorite imprisoned thug private investigator, already has a deal in place to publish his novel. Beverly Hills bookmeister Michael Viner, the prez of Phoenix Books, tells me, "We'd long ago made a deal. There's been a draft but it's far from complete. We've put it off until after the present problems." Viner describes the draft as a roman à clef, with a P.I. as the central character. Any stuff about wiretapping in it? "As I recall, there was a slight reference to it," Viner says, "but I don't want to get into that."
