I’m told that Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner are changing the United Artists logo. The duo who are running the studio with a relatively free hand for at least the next five years hope to unveil the new “UA” in time for ShoWest March 12th-15th. But a source tells me it might not be ready for the big meet-and-greet with exhibitors which Tom and Paula have planned during the annual Las Vegas convention. (That’s going to be the hot invite for those hick theater owners and their wives.) The new logo is animated (but I can guarantee it won’t look like this–>) and the “super-cool” effects are taking longer than expected. How much is this costing?
