Rarely does a movie need a sequel. Except L.A. Confidential. Director Curtis Hanson says “just very recently" he and screenwriter Brian Helgeland and novelist James Ellroy "have been talking about it", and stars Russell Crowe and Guy Pearce "would love to come back and revisit those characters ten years later", he tells MTV News. "But it’s all about getting the story that’s worth telling." Yeah, we've all heard that one before. But I really hope it happens because this potential franchise deserves to be developed.
