Liz Taylor says she asked for and received “one night’s dispensation” from the WGA so that striking TV and film writers could put down their picket signs when an AIDS benefit performance is held next month on the Paramount Pictures lot, according to news reports. Taylor and James Earl Jones are slated to perform one night of Love Letters on World AIDS Day (Dec. 1), to raise $1 million for The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. The 75-year-old actress said she wouldn’t cross the WGA picket lines.

Thanks for hopping on the strike publicity coattails, Liz, but we don’t picket on the weekend.
Nor do we picket at night… So c’mon, folks… It’s all publicity… and who but Miz Liz is a bigger master of PR? D.
And what are YOU TWO doing to contribute to World AIDS Day, Lorelei and David G?
Snark does not count.
Douchebags.
She’s a class act. And the WGA is a class act for – even if symbolically – lifting the gates to let the event occur without any taint.
Shelve the hate, people.
