Endeavor talent agency will represent both Barbra Streisand as an actress, director and producer as well as her Barwood Films. The Hollywood legend’s longtime manager Marty Erlichman will continue to principally help guide her career. Streisand had been with ICM but it’s been quite some time since she’s starred in a movie (2004′s Meet The Fockers) or directed one (1996′s The Mirror Has Two Faces). However, she has been an active executive producer in television. And, of course, she’s a busy recording artist. I understand Babs now intends to become more active in all entertainment arenas. Mused a source at a rival agency: “And Endeavor will go out with a vengeance for her because whatever she does now, it will be quite obvious who got it for her.”

Can’t Take it Anymore ,
Hate to break it to you, but Streisand is still very relevant. Thank goodness, too. She’s someone who actually has talent, vision and earned fame/acclaim. It’s nice to be reminded there once were celebs who actually lived up to the hype.
She is a multi-talented woman who at her age still draws in masses for her concerts and manages to break house records! She is an all-round entertainer and from what I know, people like myself and friends are always eager to hear her or go see her in a movie. As the world’s most accomplished performer this is a very good move! We are exhilarated and eager for anything that can showcase the talents of a legend such as Barbra Streisand!!!
Looking forward to it!!!
I love you Barbra!!!
Barbra Streisand is the greatest talent that ever lived! It is no mystery why by the age of 27 she was and IS the only performer to win an Oscar, Emmy and Grammy in LEADING categories and a Tony as well.
She has won more Golden Globes in more categories than any other performer and she paved the way for someone with less than flawless features to be thought of as beautiful!
Most under 30 don’t great her greatness – just watch a clip of Hello Dolly, On A Clear Day or What’s Up Doc?
She is stunning, funny as hell and has the greatest singing voice of all time!
Let’s hope the public can enjoy more of her!
Getting decent movie roles for Streisand is going to be the biggest challenge Endeavor ever faced.
No one cant touch Barbra. I think that she will find approiate projects to work on. And she will continue to WoW us. She has proved time and time again she is the greatest star.
There are the 10 greatest entertainers in history and then there is Streisand. She stands alone as the benchmark of what others only dream of achieving. So many people in our culture view an accomplished woman with money as a bitch. If she is so aweful then why does she have the same “team” and staff for over 30 years now? One more thing…. Do you know of any other entertainer donating her energy, time, voice and money to make a better life for us all? Of course you don’t. There is no one else. Again, she stands alone…. We should give her our undying support.
Barbra Streisand’s break from making movies has been way too long. She is an extremely gifted actress, director and producer. I hope she is moving to Endeavor because she is ready to get back to work on making movies. Barbra Streisand in any movie is a major event!!
Barbra is the ICON of accomplishment, talent and humanitarianism in the entertainment industry. She has worked hard all her career and now at 66 deserves a life of peace and happiness. I for one could live by just hearing her past songs and watching her movies and concerts over and over again and NEVER tire of them. But being just a little selfish I would enjoy hearing and seeing more of her work.

WOW, when ICM can’t hold on to someone like Barbara Striesand, you just KNOW they’re swirling around the bowl just before they’re flushed down the drain.
ICM has almost become an embarrassment & liability to be associated with. They’re losing more clients and agents then their life-support can withstand. After the new ownership began treating their employees and agents like garbage…maybe what comes around goes around.
RIP, ICM. But the writing was kind of on the wall the last couple of years, eh?
If Barbra retired today, her status in show business is quite safe. It would be quite unlikely that anyone will accomplish what she has in the next 50 years, at least. I wouldn’t hold my breath for any ‘American Idol’ winners or losers. Can anyone name a person who has the same accomplishments as Barbra? C’mon, try.
I didn’t think so.
One question: out of the many performers today (Madonna, Britney, Beyonce, Celine Dion, must I go on?, etc), how many will still command the stage at 66 years old? The ONLY vocalist alive today of Barbra’s generation, other than herself, that can sell at this age is Tina Turner, and she doesn’t have the additional accolades as an actress/director as well. I dare say when the curtain goes down on these fine performers, there will be a huge vacuum where their talents once wowed us. Barbra has many more tricks up her sleeve. She is a talented actress who has yet begun to show us what she can really do- now that her youth and appearance no longer matter. And the voice? There will never be another like it. She is among the greatest artists of this century.
still and always my favorite all time entertainer. have always been amazed, even in her youth, how divided critics and public were about her talents – either love her or hate her, no gray area whatsoever. nice to know you can create such a stir, even in your 60s. love it.
Striesand gave us Bill and Hillary Clinton- anyone who thinks this woman is an icon is seriously in need of psychiatric health and fast!
Babs killed the career chances of her vastly more talented sibling Rosyln Kind. She is nothing more than cannibal who happens to be able to sing better than average. She has talent without a doubt- but Mrs. Brolin is very far from being one of the greatest talents in the world- One of the most well known and most over exploited I will give you!
