I just heard that well-liked veteran show The Unit “probably picked up at CBS”.

unit sucks ass!
YES! One of the best shows on television. Surely there’s room for a little culture on the networks. Kudos to those with the power. Mamet.
Hope so, _The Unit_ is one of my favorite shows, I only hope Mamet writes more episodes and they don’t get too preachy or forget who the bad guys are.. (Hint: they’re not Halliburton or some neonazi conspiracy, they’re dark and they pray towards Mecca 5x a day..)
The Unit is the best show out there!
Hey Ulrich – Foxtrot Oscar. The Unit is damn good TV.
Wow what a intelligent comment ulrich…not! The Unit is one of the best plot driven character shows out there and it has plenty of action as well. I hope to see the guys back in action soon.
Max Martini back on TV!!!! YEAH!!!
They better pick up Shark!
I hope The Unit doesn’t get picked up again. Enough already with the stiff acting. State Farm guy is the worst.
I do not understand ulrich’s comment. The Unit is one of the best shows on television. It has depth, substance and it gives you something to think about. Not like these other airbrain shows that insult your intelligence. We need to raise our standard of television watching. I believe the Unit does all of this and I hope CBS wakes up and takes notice thatthere are people out here that want GOOd QUALITY shows and mr. ulrich is a minority in the way he thinks.
Have a Blessed Day!
I almost jumped for joy until I saw the word “probably”. Come on Les! Admit it! You like us! You really like us! Spit it out already! The Unit is renewed! Why wait till Wed?
Uh..Uhrich: kiss mine dude.
Dan said this in a previous message:
“I hope The Unit doesn’t get picked up again. Enough already with the stiff acting. State Farm guy is the worst.”
1st. his name is Mr. Dennis Haysbert an he is the spokesman for ALLSTATE.
What show on television has Shawn Ryan (the Shiled), David Mamet (Redbelt), and Eric Haney in their production crew. Do you thhink “Big Brother” is an award winner? We need to get back to solid hard core acting and the Unit delivers. Society has dumb down enough. WE need shows that do not insult our intelligence and The Unit does this. I am glad DAN is a minority in his way of thinking.
Fer cryin’ out loud CBS just tell us! Bring back my show so there’s something worth watching again.
Dan dear, if you have a problem with strong men, there’s always Lifetime.
And ulrich, I’ll just defer to your expert opinion on that particular subject.
I happen to be active duty and have been overseas more than once. Chris, your comment is uncalled for. Last I checked, I am allowed to voice my opinion just like anyone else around here. I don’t recall being rude to the rest of the posters here, as they have been rude in return to me for my comments. Robin from Charlotte, no I do not watch Big Brother. I just don’t like The Unit. I like the story ideas, but not the actors. I strongly feel the script would be better executed with higher calibur actors. That is simply my opinion, as you feel strongly about yours.
That is true you are allowed your opinion. If I came across that you didn’t I am sorry.
But realize Robert Patrick is one of the highest calibur actors around and who also has a heart which is rare in Hollywood these days. Please there is no one in Hollywood that can do Colonel Ryan like he can. Mamet and Ryan and Eric Haney knew that when they chose Robert Patrick and they got a winner. Also, to be fair Max Martini is a tremendous actor and some of the people that responded on this thread actually know him and Robert Patrick. It takes a bit of getting use to the style of acting. It did me. After a while I got it. These guys are some of the best actors you will find anywhere. I know these guys have been wanting to visit over their for a very long time and they finally got the chance.
Lets just pray for their safe return.
Take Care Dan.
Oh I get it. You’re entitled to your opinion but I’m not entitled to mine. Sweet. I think your comments about the show & these fine actors were extremely rude as well. But you got your opinion & I got mine. I’ll always stand up for these guys.
Glad to hear you’ve served in the military. Married to a Marine myself with a father-in-law in the Air Force & uncles in the Army & Navy. THAT I respect. But please don’t attempt to tell me you’re entitled to voice your opinion & then tell me I’m not allowed to voice mine. We’ll just have to agree to disagree.
Have a great & glorious day.
Hope the word on the renewal is true. Nothing from CBS yet but for now I’m going with it. This great show deserves it. Best cast there is. CBS has no idea how lucky they are. Way too many “reality” shows. Not enough quality programs like The Unit.
Wow. Chris, said nothing about you not being able to voice your opinion. You are wrong if you think I will just sit back and take a comment from you about watching Lifetime. WTF? I can understand liking a show, but I can’t believe how “fans” jump on someone for commenting about not liking the same show. Man, I love this country. You know what, though? I will continue to defend this country and the right to free speech.
Chris, my guys wanted me to add something here. We understand actor worship has been around a long time. However, you would think in today’s world with us deploying all the time that maybe we could rank a little higher and get a little more respect. Pretty sad that we can’t say anything that you don’t agree with. Then we get disrespected and even ridiculed for not sharing the same opionions, and you don’t don’t even know me or what I have contributed to military service. However, again, I will continue to serve you and the rest of this country so you can have the right to say what you need to say. So, continue to stand up for “your guys.” I will continue to stand up for you even without your respect or your support.
Respectfully,
Dan
Dan- thanks for your service and pass that on to the guys. I am a huge fan of the show because I support our military and the job they do and this is the only show on that actually portrays our military men and women in a fairly favorable light. I know quite a few miiltary folks that like the show. They HATED “Over There” and face it, Army Wives is just a soap opera in a military setting not a military show. While The Unit may not be totally accurate, I find it to be a quality program which I truly enjoy and I am very glad that it’s coming back. And heck, I’ll watch Max Martini as Mack Gerhardt anyday – he rocked in Johnny B. Goode (even if I hated the last 2-3 minutes of that episode.)
One thing’s for sure Tracy. Mack has terrible taste in women. He needs a new one.
I’d be happy to write one for him. One who’s not so darn needy and maybe has a decent moral compass to set a good example for his daughters. Just tell Shawn Ryan to call me.
I wish. It would be nice to see him have a supportive caring wife. I have to give Abby credit, she makes that character the most unlikeable one on the show.
I’m hoping for a great season 4.
Our whole family is excited. Matt my oldest hasn’t liked anything on television since the X Files which aired on Sunday nights. Now he is thrilled that the Unit has moved to Sunday nights this fall.
Going to see Redbelt at the movies today. Can’t wait to see Max (of course)!
I think we all better hold on. Season 4 is going to blow us away.
What a fantastic surprise. The last thing I expected
Sunday at 9pm (PST).
This episode was superb. I like this better than episodes with the dramas of the psychodynamics of the marital relationships. More focus on field ops.
“The Unit” is the best drama on TV. Best writing and acting. Haynesberry IMHO is the finest actor in a drama.
I’m relieved “The Unit” hasn’t been canceled.
