Tonight, across the country, comedy clubs are coming together for the first time to help comedians by helping The Actors Fund, the charity that assists entertainment professionals nationwide with a variety of programs and services including financial aid, housing support, and an AIDS initiative. The comedy clubs are donating their cover charges directly to The Fund, and the comedians are donating their performances. Budd Friedman, the founder of the Improv, has put this evening together for what’s expected to be an annual event. Here’s a partial list of participating clubs:
