News reports say Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia announced today that Susan Lyne has resigned as CEO of the media and licensing company, whose stock has slumped in recent years. Lyne is best known for developing ABC Entertainment’s current big hits like Desperate Housewives, Lost and Grey’s Anatomy despite the objections of Bob Iger (who ultimately axed her and Lloyd Braun). She had been Martha Stewart’s CEO since 2004.

She ought to go into business with Collin Calendar. She’s another arrogant, star-f*****er. I worked with her at Disney, and she was an elitist, condescending, arrogant manager who loathed the audience, and disdained anyone who she didn’t deem to be her social/intellectual equal. I was stunned she lasted as long as she did at Martha Stewart, because unlike Martha and Oprah, she can’t stand “common” people, and would have probably shot herself if she ever had to meet or deal with a K-Mart shopper. Good riddance.
I temped for Susan Lyne at Disney and found her to be quite the “diva.” She and Lloyd were the most arrogant people I’ve ever been around, and I have worked in entertainment for 15 years.
I was there when the John Ritter incident on the set of “8 Simple Rules” happened. Lloyd and Susan cared more about how his death would affect ratings; they had absolutely no concern about the impact of his death on his family, friends, or legions of fans worldwide.
I believe in Karma, and when they were both axed I was thrilled!
