UPDATE: A studio source emailed me, “Yeah, but it’s a lot cheaper and greener than flying Eddie around on a private jet for a press tour.” But I thought Murphy hasn’t done real press tours since he gave that transvestite hooker a lift in his car.

Anyone who drives into that thing just has to say: “I did it because of Norbert.” And they’d get off any charges.
*shudder*
Shouldn’t we take that and drive it around Iraq and Afghanistan? Oy!
‘shuttter’ again……
It’s almost as bad as the “JUNO Truck” that was seen driving around LA during Awards season…
… okay fine, it’s worse.
Furious D, you are hi-FREAKIN’-larious.
I volunteer my vehicle to the one that smacks Eddie in the mouth! Ha!
What an ungodly vision. Disgust is too weak a word to describe what my reaction would be to seeing that thing bumbling along the freeway.
Is it just me or does this and the poster for Meet Dave (aka Starship Dave) feel like fake Kit Ramsey movie ads from Bowfinger?
Someone should leave a banana in the tailpipe.
That’s actually the real size of Murphy’s inlflated ego.
I was hoping this was going to be good — believe it or not — b/c it’s cowritten by Mystery Science Theater 3000′s Bill Corbett. After seeing the poster and the trailer, I stand corrected.
People at Fox should have done this for ‘The Happening’ promos. Knowing what a crappy movie they have, it could have save them millions of dollars with the advertising by having “Mr Egoistical Shyamalan’ dummy on the back of Lu-ee’s van and driving it across America
The funniest work he’s done is using the line that he was just giving that tranny vampire hooker a ride home out of kindness.
That van be worth flashing back to after this movie flops
I too had high hopes for this at first because of Bill Corbett, but the commercials don’t look that funny. I’m starting to wonder now just how much they watered down the original script.
I think the head is an ingenious idea!!! We think its great!!! I love Eddie Murphy!!! Go Eddie Go!!!
I’d love to plant that head right in Nick Counter’s front yard, or better yet peering into his bedroom window so he can share in the joy of its creepiness invading his slumber
Eddie’s got the biggest head in movies in “Zardoz”… This real trailer looks a lot funnier than the movie trailer and likely to have more impact on viewers and the box-office.
Yeah, saw the “Meet Dave” trailer before “Speed Racer” – The audience was real quiet when it ended, so I commented “There’s the first bomb of the summer” and cracked everyone up in the theater. But this . . . this stuff is really scary! You have to take meds for this kind of scary running rampant on the streets . . .
How Karmic would it be if a giant fiberglass penis-shaped car rear ended the vehicle?
