I just heard from a source that showbiz PR man Howard Brandy died last night after a long illness. He was always a gentleman to journalists, with a dry wit and an ability to laugh at his clients's many antics.

Howard was a wonderful man and a terrific publicist. I knew him over many years and he was always a welcome sight in our newsroom (which can’t be said of every publicist). He’ll be greatly missed.
I had the opportunity to work with him several years ago. He was a terrific publicist and a Gentleman.
I will miss him.
I was a partner of Howard Brandy in the 60’s and he was a unique human being in the cutthroat world of competing publicists. He will be missed by many in Hollwood.
I am devasted to hear about Howard’s death. I knew him since he was a young correspondent for the Hollywood Reporter. We met in Las Vegas when he was in his early 20’s I was a daily columnist for the Las Vegas Sun in those days and we had a lot of fun together and bonded instantly. We stayed in touch for many years and met each other at every opportunity. I moved to Southeast Asia and i lost track of Howard in the past 10 years and was saddened to have finally found him in this manner. Damn, I wish I could have seen him more often in past years.
