great:we need more brad pitt on this type of movies
I think Brad Pitt could benefit greatly from a Tarantino role. I think he’s a good choice.
two has beens
pitt is done, not an interesting actor and whose looks are fading
This is probably perfect casting, actually. Brad Pitt has always been a character actor stuck in a leading man’s body (see True Romance, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club). Some of that Tarantino zing will be right up his alley.
No, Pitt is cool. On a set, away from crowds, he has a blue-collar vibe and gives respect to the below-the-line. He’s the only big star that crew guys truly love. Pitt has even attended “cast & crews” screenings (and been welcomed, too), who does that?
pitt is rad and this would be super cool
maybe he’s cool but I don’t like his acting. I think he’s a bit overrated TBH.
I know Tarantino is fugly, but did you have to put his picture side by side with Pitt’s? Just mean. And it’s not even a particularly good picture of Pitt!
Tarantino is starting to look like the late Waylon Flowers’ puppet “Madam.”
I think Brad Pitt’s a great choice for the lead. Providing whoever lands this keeps Tarantino on a short leash and he can kick start his mojo again (more Reservoir Dogs grit, less Death Proof wank)I’m interested.
Now we get to play studio musical chairs. Where will this project land? Will Tarantino follow Rose McGowan’s ex Rodriguez to WB or will the fact Brad Pitt is circling mean that Paramount are a lock for it?
Or will all this speculation continue in blogs and in the end Sony wil pay an obscene amount of money just like they did for Roland Emmmerich’s greatest hits package aka 2012.
How is Pitt going to do this as the QT wants a Fall start date? Isn’t Brad scheduled to do The Fighter with Mark Walhberg in Boston with Darren A. directing? I’m not sure if QT style (insanity) would jive with Pitt’s laid back personality. I kinda see conflict there
I had a pithy comment to add, but that ‘Waylon Flowers’ reference laughed it out of me. Classic.
Seconding an earlier observation re Pitt. Having worked with him on set, he has a blue-collar vibe and is anything but vain and pampered. Extremely normal and approachable.
It’s Tarantino I’m concerned about. But Hollywood needs a lees-than-serious WWII movie after the last fifteen years.
Brad Pitt does do well in emsemble movies.
Since Glorious Bastards is a “homage” to the Dirty Dozen, does this mean QT wants Brad Pitt to play a “homage” to John Cassavetes’ character?
QT should also try and get Stallone in this one!
Well QT always has preferred working with has-beens. When was the last time Brad Pitt had a hit on his own again? Seven?
When was his last hit movie that he had alone, Se7en? LMAO. Troy and Mr & Mrs Smith combined have made over 1 billion dollars
NOOOOOOOOO DON’T DO IT, BAD DECISION. TARANTINO,,, SKILLS, OVER RATED!!! BRAD IS NO B-MOVIE STAR
QT did a decent movie over 10 years ago.
Lee, Troy was an ensemble movie (and let’s not forget that Orlando “hearts flutter” Bloom was in that too which certainly didn’t hurt the box office) and Mr and Mrs Smith would have been a hit with anyone in it but the main reason anyone saw it was because they wanted to see the chemistry between Brad Pitt and the woman he dumped his wife for. The last time Brad Pitt had the top-billed lead in a hit movie that he can call his own is Seven which also had a hell of a hook to it to start with. Face it, he’s been smart enough to jump into some ensemble movies like Babel and Ocean’s Eleven but on his own, he’s as dried up as his sagging face.
The only reason I can see why QT would be interested in Pitt in the lead is because he needs a so-called box office star (or at least someone who Hollywood continues to pay to appear in one piece of shit after another) in order to get the financing now that fat fuck Harvey has pissed off so many people that he’s unable to get five bucks together to make the movie. It would have been more interesting if QT went back to Jackie Brown mode and reinvigorated one of his old favorites as he did with the fabulous Pam Grier.
Wow, Diane, you sure have a great spin on why Troy and M&MS were so successful. It’s too bad no one a the studios would agree with you. Brad Pitt is more of an INTERENATIONAL STAR than an US BO star. He has broad appeal in foreign markets. Sure you could have put another two actors in M&MS, but would it have done nearly $500MIL in business? If it were Will Smith and ____________. Yes. If it were George Clooney and ______________. A resounding NO. Give credit where it’s due. Pitt’s presence made Troy and M&MS hits. The numbers bear that out and since the studios are deluging the man with offers, they obviously know something YOU don’t.
BTW, you’re forgetting that TAOJJ didn’t do well at the BO because Warners basically dive-bombed the movie because Pitt held his ground on the cut and length of the movie and refused to include more action and gun play to appease Warner’s sense of what a western should be. There’s a lot of old baggage between Pitt and Warners.
My final comment – Forget QT’s manic obnoxiousness. I can’t see Pitt working with Harvey Weinstein. I think we all know why.
brad is handsome, brad is still one of Hollywood’s sex symbol not that he cares any more, he has a family, brad Pitt face is not sagging, he looks better now, than he has ever looked, somebody is holding a grudge about something, all the lies you tell, face it, the man is still gorgeous. he gets better with age.
wow… lots of people here have a hard on for QT. None of his films are all that great. I have found his films entertaining at best not worth the price of admission at worst. He buys into his own press and is a major arrogant tard as a result. Not too long ago he almost had his ass handed to him at a bar my buddy owns. It was funny but I also was really embarrassed for QT. Too bad the studio is banking on this film to make them. I don’t knwo many people who are planning on seeing this latest film. I looks like something you would get from a junior in film school.
