EXCLUSIVE: I'm told the tween/teen movie and TV star made the rounds of Hollywood agencies with her dentist father and interviewed with Paradigm, Endeavor and ICM before choosing WMA's Theresa Peters who also reps hit James McAvoy, Kirsten Dunst, Rachel Bilson, Mandy Moore. Bynes was previously at UTA, then left for CAA and recently decided to switch tenpercenteries again.
I really like Amanda Bynes, she one of the few teen starts that hasnt gone down the path of the partying teen starlets.
Maybe now she can break out of the teen rolls. Hope so I enjoy her.
What is it with all these stars meeting with paradigm and it is listed on your site now? We all know that they are simply courtesy meetings as with what happened with chase last week. Paradigm is a 3rd tier conglomerate of ousted ICM’ers, lame Writer and Artisters, and poorly trained Paradigm assistants that act as agents. I am not a paradigm employee and not an ex one either.
She was at endeavor for a couple of years before UTA. Siegel did a great job for her, landing her a real pay-day on American Girl.
She’s a good kid.
She’s a pretty girl, whose name and face I seem to have known for years.
But after giving it a considerable amount of thought today, it wasn’t until someone mentioned “American Girl” above, that I could think of one project she’s been in.
And she’s a relatively big star!! What happened to all the REAL “stars” in this industry?! And the decent material for that matter???
I dont know what ICM, WMA or UTA is but i do know that Amanda is choosing what’s best for her
hurray Amanda
:D
good for her. hopefully she’ll get better roles that suit her.
btw, who’s James McElvoy?????
The Alphabet merry-go-round.
UTA, CAA, WMA.
No difference really as all that any of them will do is wait for offers to call them.
Bynes is a young lady that needs a quality producing partner developing good material for her to stand out against a slew of talented young ladies right now not another do nothing agent.
No offense Morris People but really, what can you guys do that any agent can’t? Maybe arrange financing for an indie film but that’s about it.
I think Amanda has “something,” but other than “Hairspray” in 2007 and “She’s the Man” in 2006, where she showed a lot of promise, she’s not getting any roles. She does need an agent who can get her some starring roles.
What an underutilized actress! It’s a crying shame she didn’t get the Nancy Drew movie instead of Julia Roberts’ overrated niece! That movie would have probably done a lot better.
reelbusy you’re out of your frickin mind. WMA is AWESOME at aggressively packaging films and getting their cast into projects. it always makes me smile happily for WMA when I see them outwitting CAA – not only in attracting talent away from them – but when watching a film and realizing that several of the top roles in the film are WMA clients.
yes, CAA does it too, but with a much narrower, (much) bigger budget focus. CAA is in the movie star business, nothing more, nothing less. WMA helps build careers.
for the record, i’m an indie producer, not a current or former employee of any agency. in my direct experience, WMA helps get films made, while CAA does not.
i’m really happy to see that most of the news of the day consists of people leaving CAA, rather than the more common other way around. a good day!
Wait a minute…
What’s the big deal here?
Has Bynes made ONE MOVIE that was profitable? She’s the “Great White Hope” of young actresses because she isn’t photographed drunk or panty-less. But outside of her Nick series and short-lived sitcom, has she ever made money for a film studio?
I see posters beating up Emma Roberts but honestly, until one of these actresses proves them can draw like a femme Shia Lebeau, don’t knock any of them.
Yo,
It was a busy Monday and upon reflection I do agree with you that WMA is the best of all of them.
In fact I think Alan Gasmer is one of the best agents in the business right now.
However most agents in Hollywood couldn’t pound sand down a rathole without printed instructions.
yeah of course she did make many profitable movie what r you on about Jeffrey?
She deserve better script, she has a very good acting skill and she’s a smart girl but some scripts are just too lame that brought her reputation down.
