Kerkorian owned MGM three times: First from 1969 to 1986. He sold the studio to Ted Turner who kept the MGM libary and sold the MGM name and the United Artists movies back to Kerkorian after some months. Then Kerkorian made his fortune in selling to the italien “investors” from Pathe Entertainment. But Parretti and Co. couldn´t pay for their debt and the state owned french bank Credit Lyonese was the new owner. But until 1996 Credit Lyonese had to sell MGM. This was Kerkorians third Chance to be the owner of one of hollywoods most famous studios from the golden age. In 2005 Kerkorian sold MGM to Comcast-Sony-… .
