that’s fitting as he is currently the biggest joke out there.

What a terrible call. I understand that they need to try and make him likable, but he will be shedding whatever bit of dignity as a presidential candidate he may have left. It reeks of a hail mary attempt.

Well that is a surprised since it’s way past his bedtime.

Obama has never appeared on SNL again, because he is so stiff he makes Al Gore look like Richard Simmons.
McCain did a good job the time he hosted the show. Obama would never do that because Christ figures don’t host comedy TV shows.

One hopes that Ben doesn’t make some statement so liberal and provocative that he turns off undecideds. I hope he learns from the master; let them implode!

We should get Kayne West to appear alongside McCain. That would be value for entertainment
Is SNL so desperate for ratings to have McCain appearing after Pailin?

That is no surprise. SNL is doing this for viewship purposes. It had a hit with Palin and now it hopes to have a hit with McCain BUT to add a twist by having Affleck as the host. Even if Affleck was to say something liberal and provocative to McCain (which I am sure he will) that is NOT going to turn voters off from Obama. McCain dug his own grave by using running a negative campaign and using Joe the Plumber as his “grace from fall”. By the way did you see that Joe the Plumber was a No Show at a recent McCain rally!

Actually, they asked Obama to be on & he declined so they offered it to McCain. As we saw at the charity dinner where they roasted each other, McCain does much better with comedy. And he can even have a conversation without a teleprompter.
