UPDATE: The newly edited by NBC “Bailout” skit that ran on SNL is live online now.
This article was printed from http://www.deadline.com/2008/10/mystery-of-missing-snl-bailout-skit-explained-nbccom-took-it-down-for-legal-reasons-will-put-back-up-edited-version-today/
…”upon review, we caught certain elements of the sketch that didn’t meet our standards…” of GOP-bashing…
Someone’s got a magnet next to their moral compass.
Considering the quashing of all information(see Missouri)not complementary to Obama, his backers, his policies, the condition of the communuty he was ostensibly trying to help and those he REALLY helped(ACORN)it is increasingly difficult not to see a conspiracy.
I dont belive it i just think they got to pressure from the leftists
am we’re supposed to be surprised by this? please! the left and the media have joined hands in destroying the country, minipulating our youth at campuses around american and using the freedom of press for granted while the rest of the world would die for that. and for those who still drink the simple-minded koolaid, its so wonder why our modern day nation is imcompedant.
Hell, I don’t even need to read the article. It is ok to bash any conservative but as soon as you tell the truth about a liberal, there may be “legal” action so let’s pull it.
Welcome to the USA.
You should be ashamed but you aren’t.
Just reading the story on the yanked SNL sketch, why am
I not surprised. When it’s time to slame conservative
candidates, SNL is at the head of the line with even
funny, but sarcastic satire. Now someone has created
a slam on some heavy liberal hitters and mysteriously,
the SNL sketch is “yanked.” What gives here?
I hate to think that the adage “liberals have no sense
of humor,” is true, but you can’t deny the obvious.
Gone now is the SNL sketch and who knows what sort of watered down version NBC (the National Barak Channel), has approvingly censored for their neophyte messiah.
well if this is not the biggest smelliest pile of bull crap…..how has this communist agenda creeped into our most sacred avenues….sounds like we need a good ole fashion house cleaning…line them up…give them a 3 minute trial…and send them all to a special place in the middle of the desert for a little ole fashion ass whoopin…
How can honesty be sued…this skit was a comedic replica of exactly what happened. What was not funny was Pelosi, Barney Frank and S. Hoyer laughing the night this bail out was signed…they had a good reason…the joke is on us…the American people, at least SNL’s version actually made me laugh, when I seen it on the real C-Span I was not smiling, I was trying to connect with as many people as I could to put a petition together for TERM LIMITS. These congressional criminals MUST GO…Term limits are needed and wanted and that is not a joke.
Comedy is comedy and everything’s fair game. Republicans and Democrats need to all grow a better sense of humor and realize that we are all to blame for every problem in this country, either through action or omission.
This finger points and back patting on both sides is juevenial and baseless when you consider what’s at stake right now.
Always the left are cowards! Love to race bait, but cannot take the honest assestment of their party, and themselves. Such cowards!
I guess we know which side YOU have taken. No matter how many actual facts can be laid before people like you, you will still act like it’s all a bunch of conspiracy theories by the right.
At some point you are going to have to face reality. There are actually corrupt people in this world, and they are willing to do terrible things. You may not believe it, but some of them may actually be Democrats.
Fancy that. I suspect it will shock your little bubble of a world.
I call BS. SNL puts those lines, and worse, in many of their skits, never have they had to pull a skit to be “edited” before. Soros or Immelt (GE parent company of NBC) made a call, IMO.
Thanks for the scoop, Nikki. It’s comforting to know you are ALWAYS On top this stuff.
aww for legal reasons, well that’s the barack obama way, speak out against the great one and we’ll sue you. your only allowed to bush republicans and women but if you try to do anything towards the democrats well your a racist and you should be barred from your first amendment right.
Well, It looks like the “Dark Overlord” Soros & his pals the Sandlers couldn’t take the heat. Funny, because they get such a kick out of going after the conservatives. This WHOLE sub prime mess is a Democrat swamp of lies. They OWN the whole subprime debacle. Bill Clinton even says the dems stopped any kind of regulation of Freddie & Fannie when he was president.
RE: We’ll See….
….what they edited out when we can compare the past against the present versions.
[Comedy is Life with the dull parts removed. -- Alfred Hitchcock (paraphrased)]
Dem-bashing?? You’re joking right? This skit presents Bush as an idiot and white middle-class investors as greedy, heartless, self-absorbed jerks.
Aside from poking fun at Barney Frank’s speech impediment and implying that Pelosi doesn’t like black people, this skit is a straightforward bash on capitalism and conservatism.
Wouldn’t expect anything else from SNL though.
Too funny! When exposed to the light these cockroaches [aka Sandlers & Soros] scatter back into darkened recesses. I totally agree these are “People who should be shot”.
I’m surprised and a bit disappointed that the SNL people caved in to threats by quickly removing this ARTISTIC skit which if I’m not mistaken is protected by Constitutional right to freedom of speech just like all their other controversial skits.
Finally there is two sides to a story! No wonder they had to pull it, it was too close to the truth except for Bush having an extra chromosome. The bailout debate reminds me of the Monty Python’s skit ” I’m here for an argument.” The Dems say, no it isn’t when in fact the two people running fannie and freddie are sitting as the party’s biggest donors and on O’s campaign staff.
This is sooooo hypocritical!!! I don’t see why they have to EDIT this????? oh well, its just comedy, I hear better jokes from my own kids on how stupid dems are.
I bet it would have run if it was anti-republican. NBC is already leaning left. Shame on NBC for canceling it. Pu$$ie$!
Sorry Nikki but edited versions were also pulled off the net. After NBC deleted the comments, the old rule about the cover-up being worse than the crime kicked in. They went beyond just being in the tank for the Dems and got caught being hypocritical censors. Now they are furiously backpedaling trying to make it all look innocent. You are part of the smokescreen (but then maybe you already know that).
Al Franken is telling Minnesota voters his comedy days are over and yet he’s writing anti-McCain material for SNL.
Joe Biden makes mistake after mistake (Syria and Hezbollah, Pakistan missle range, the constitution, dangerous vice-presidents ((Aaron Burr, anyone?)) and SNL completey white-washes it. All that matters is Palin shooting wolves from helicopters (something only the Alaskan f&g dept have done to cull packs).
Tina Fey uses a spot-on impersonation that also happens to be intellectually dishonest to skewer her weekly, McCain is also ridiculed at the behest of a Dem Senate candidate…..all the while Obama/Biden get a pass, Fey even goes on the Emmys and declares her hate for ‘that lady’……
Now they invite Palin oonto the show in a blatant attempt to appear non-partisan.
Someone as smart as you Nikki really should be exposing these cretins for what they are, your politics be damned. The fact that politics seems to cloud your objectivity says alot.
No matter what the left does or the reasons they give for doing it, follow the money …ALWAYS follow the money!
Wealthy left wingers are more a threat and muzzle to NBC and other left leaning media than any conservative or conservative agenda will ever be.
So, SNL fianlly slams the left! It’s about time!!
Comments On Deadline Hollywood are monitored. So don't go off topic, don't impersonate anyone, don't get your facts wrong, and don't bore me.
