hah, none of those movies interest me. I’m excited for Slumdog Millionaire, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Revolutionary Road… but maybe that’s cos I’m a film snob
and the previews for the “The Day The Earth Stood Still” REMAKE look awful…
Really? Where is G.I. Joe? Star Trek XI?
“Angels and Demons”? Are they kidding? Opie and company have zero credibility after the awful, dreary and boring “DaVinci Code” – this prequel is doomed. Enough of Tom Hanks smugness and Dan Brown’s religion bashing.
How about a comedy, Opie?
What’s the latest regarding “The Watchmen”?
Why is Day the Earth Stood Still on here? It comes out Dec. 12.
Also I think Paramount should start worrying about all that money they’re putting into Star Trek and its brutal release date right between Wolverine one week before and Angels and Demons, Night at the Museum 2 and Terminator 4 in the two weeks afterward. I think Star Trek might benefit by holding off until a release around Thanksgiving of 2009 or, at least, later in the summer…
C’MON PEOPLE!! WHERE THE HELL IS STAR TREK AND AVATAR?! Those are easily two of the most antcipated by far. Especially Star Trek, how can you not be psyched about a rebirth of a franchise that actually needed it. I’m not a JJ Abrams fan in the least bit, MI:III story sucked but the direction was pretty tight.
There’s some bad buzz concerning the latest Potter. They veered away from the book a lot supposedly which is a bad thing because its the only Potter book I read in which I actually enjoyed. Very dark.
Transformers…have to see a trailer in order for the deal to be sealed. Could be great. Could suck big time.
Wolverine…I just don’t trust FOX in producing a good movie. They’ve probably taken Gavin Hood’s cut and chopped into a more “family friendly” incoherent version — PUBLIC ENEMIES — need to see a trailer, too many crime movies being produced, saturation level iis nigh.
ANGELS & DEMONS…okay now its time to put down the crack pipe…are you freaking kidding me?!!!
Hmmmmmmmm….odd. There’s no $200+ Millon “Terminator 4″ on the list. Somebody, somewhere in marketing is freaking out.
What?!? No Watchmen?
From this list, I am most interested in Public Enemies, Transforers 2, The Informant, and The Taking of Pelham 123.
Geez. 2009 is gonna suck.
I’m pretty sure “The Day the Earth Stood Still” comes out December 12th.
Looks like a weak year…
1. Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Day the Earth Stood Still (Fox) comes out this year. Dec. 12, 2008
ughhhh….
9 out of 10 appear to be big budget schlock geared towards masses of idiot movie-goers. What a shame.
Very surprised not to see GI Joe up there
The day the earth stood till will get a release this year!!
Who is anticipating these movies? We could care less. Boring!
29 million teens waiting for SOUL SURFER—bethany hamilton film……announced today in variety via dolphin
Night at the Museum 2? Come again?
Talking of Pelham one two three was a GREAT film in 1973. It captured a time and place that will be hard to duplicate!
What, no love for WATCHMEN or AVATAR?
NO WATCHMEN?!?!!!!
Travesty!!!!!!!!
Public Enemies — what the hell? Never even heard of it!?
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian — Are you for real?
The Informant — another one I’ve never heard of!!!???
Is this serious???!!!
Who voted on the list… execs at NBC and LionsGate? The actors in the anti-Al Franken commercial???
Terminator Salvation…
hmmm i guess watchman and star trek have no interest?
