UPDATE: Longtime PMK/HBH publicist Joy Fehily is leaving the flackery after 13 years to start her own PR agency taking clients McG, Seth McFarland, Joel Silver, and other good names. “It’s a bummer but we’re very happy for her,” PMK/HBH CEO Simon Halls told me. “This is exactly what Stephen, Robin, and I did 13 years ago.”
I hear there are layoffs in LA at the two IPG flackeries Weber Shandwick, where sources tell me they have closed the entertainment division and let go the staff, and GolinHarris.
BNC VP publicist Amy Zvi is leaving after 10 years to become a talent manager at Thruline. She already has three clients there – Michael Cera, Jay Baruchel, Jessica Lucas — and has handled the “Just For Laughs” Montreal comedy festival in association with Thruline. I understand that everything is very amicable.
I’m told that laid-off PMK/HBH flack Craig Bankey with his good list of clients has landed at Wolf/Kasteler PR after the first of the year. I feel for the guy going to work for those two bitches…

Congrats to Craig, Joy and Amy!
OMFG – Poor Craig – Wolf Kasteler is probably the most horrible place to work in the world. They are such mean women. Especially Lisa. The new partner Cara makes the already awful place to work even worse. Hope you make it through Craig!
Wolf Kasteler probably needs Craig’s clients to stay afloat. They represent people who should be on the covers of AARP. It’s about time they actually have clients that are at the MTV Movie Awards! HAHAHA.
Congrats Craig!
You should be at a high end agency like WK!
Finally a funny reality concept. “Frat House” on TBS. Seriously, looks funny.
Thank you.
I agree with PR Queen and Red CArpet Randi.
I’m happy for both WKT and Craig. They’re a perfect match….great publicists and prestigious clients. My experiences with both Craig and WKT have been top notch and classy. Good news during a sad time for many.
WK is indeed a top place but agreed that they have some internal issues when it comes to running their biz. It’s hard to give someone a shit sandwich and expect them to smile when they eat it…
nice quote from simon but the entertainment industry was in much better shape when they created HBH 13 years ago. good luck to joy though, she is a decent person.
also, is it a coincidence that all of these companies (except WK) are part of IPG? interesting that the lay offs/departures all seemed to happen the same day…
OMG…what was Craig thinking? Surely he didn’t need work that bad. I’d live out of the backseat of my car before I worked at Wolf/Kasteler…if i were him, I wouldn’t delete my resume…I’ll be surprised if his new company is still around this time next year.
As far as Joy goes, Halls gets props for giving her a classy send-off…given the trend re: insisting that “I broke up with you, you didn’t break up with me”, it’s cool that they said, basically, she’d be missed but they wished her the best. A lot of other firms would issue a caustic-passive aggressive statement.
Double post!
PR Queen, I have to disagree with you…I think that Annett is, like, 10x worse than Lisa.
smart move by joy. i’ve worked with her in the past and she’s brilliant at what she does.
wkt has some of the most loyal, intelligent and honest publicists out there. clearly those negative comments from pr queen are coming from a low level, bottom feeder who is looking for an anonymous place to vent her inadequacies. cara is one of the nicest, most well-liked pubs around.
This article is exactly why I love Nikki! Nobody in town says what she/he thinks like Nikki! We need more of it.
