MTV might not have had to lay anyone off if they actually had some “M” somewhere on their schedule.
“Laid off” and “fired” are two different things, even if they do have the same conclusion.
Fired people are usually cut loose on the spot. No advance notice, no severance, no assistance of any kind.
Laid off people usually didn’t go anything wrong except be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
if MTV had actually held onto TWILIGHT, maybe they wouldn’t have to cut…..idiots
Maybe they should go back to the folks who actually made MTV-Music and popculture must see TV! Remember when MTV had that mix of videos, music based and pop culture type shows? The Osbournes, Punk’d, Jackass and TRL? There was a great and enticing mix back then.
They sure are idiots. All the talented execs split and now they’re left with the genius who brought the sh*teous show PLATINUM to the airwaves and the brilliant minds behind KAYA. So sad that they are a bunch of uncreative rip-offs.
Did DiSanto get cut? He’s a lot of fat, pun intended!
wow, what a brilliant & insightful comment, anonymous… cant IMAGINE why they didnt get rid of the team that created the biggest mtv franchise ever
Best thing about these sites are when people unveil their weaknesses through postings! Makes it so much more fun!! It’s a guessing game for revenge! Thank u nikki!
What a bunch of nuthin layoffs at MTV and VH1… none, and I mean NONE of the senior dev execs who have been grinding out the poop got the heave ho. They really need to start at the top and kick Graden to the curb… his Celebreality has made VH1 a one trick pony that aint working… and his narrow focusing of MTV on teen girls has shrunk the once mighty giant to a tween whimper. Way to go Graden! Check yourself instead of blaming others.
the t-mafia is on the case for the trace. we got your back! name in week.
