  • Congratulations on something very unfunny and worthless. Obscure doesn’t make it interesting….

  • What a great idea. I love those guys and I think this video shows the spirit of the company. I love that they all went for it.

  • Well done…so much better than Crapton Kutcher…

  • I would have much preferred seeing JC and Chris falling into a vat of shit.

  • Maxtor,

Are you a moron? What is obscure about this. SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE? You fool.

Honestly, these guys look like putz’. That aside, this is not obscure.

    Thank you.

  • I love all the companies making shorts for the holidays! Why criticize, I think it’s great.

Comment by poopaloop — Thursday December 18, 2008 @ 5:22pm PST  Reply to this post
  • These guys are a pleasure to do business with and really treat their own people well, spreading a lot of credit around the company. Chris and JC deserve their success and I always enjoy talking to both of them.

    Very inventive short!

  • I hope they made their employees do this right before they laid off 20% of them.

Comment by Redd Golde — Thursday December 18, 2008 @ 5:48pm PST  Reply to this post
  • That is in shockingly poor taste coming so soon after the Mumbai rail station massacre. What the hell were they thinking?

Comment by town lawyer — Thursday December 18, 2008 @ 6:46pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Um…I may be wrong, but those assbags had nothing to do with Slumdog…

They’re ripping off a good film, made by people with talent, because they can’t spoof any of their own shitty films? Is everyone in Hollywood fucking mad?

Comment by outis — Thursday December 18, 2008 @ 6:58pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Jackasses. Self-important jackasses, most of whom won’t be in the business in three years.

  • Inspired. These guys are great to do business with, and I wouldn’t have expected anything less than this fun and well-made video. Good job, guys.

Comment by Lois — Thursday December 18, 2008 @ 7:59pm PST  Reply to this post
  • The real question is – where did they find a train/subway station in l.a.?

Comment by elliott — Thursday December 18, 2008 @ 11:30pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Wow I kind of found this sort of offensive. There is no reference point other than yeah, it’s the office staff mimicking – or more it seems, making fun of – the Indian dance at the end of the wonderful film Slumdog Millionaire. This is funny and/or creative? No one at this company could come up with an original idea? They could have least pulled a favor and gotten a decent hidef video camera. Sheesh.

  • Painfully embarrassing.

  • I’m not a BenderSpink fan, but it’s cute, it’s funny. In the WM Holiday Short, they all make a** smoothies.

  • I think some of you are making waaay too much of this due to personal animosity toward the company. So your deal got hosed… so they passed on repping you — get over it. It was a cute little video and wasn’t in bad tasted in any way shape or form.

Comment by Raider — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 8:11am PST  Reply to this post
  • Seeing J.C. Spink dressed like that put me off my breakfast entirely.

  • Wow, what a lot of sour losers on this board. Very fun video to watch, and I’m sure they had a great time making it. I think some of you need to take a chill pill, or maybe get laid.

Comment by Holiday — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 10:58am PST  Reply to this post
  • That was great.

  • Fun stuff. I was a intern there long ago and it was a fun place to be.

Comment by Rob — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 11:29am PST  Reply to this post
  • I guess this gave them SOMETHING to do. Wonder what they do the other 354 days of the year?

Comment by Stan — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 12:50pm PST  Reply to this post
  • JC Spink used to be an assistant for Warren Zide. Then Zide kinda dropped off the radar, and BenderSpink became the new Zide/Perry.

I’ve dealt with them on a very superficial level; can’t really say if they are bad or good, for goodness sake (or any better or worse then anyone else in the biz).

Anybody know how this odd fat guy became so successful?

Comment by curious? — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 4:15pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Well done, BENDERSPINK. You’ve outdone yourselves again.

And for all of the haters – fight me.

Comment by Daniel Spink — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 4:42pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Who knew gogolak could move like that!?

  • 355 days in a year, Stan?

Comment by Dave the bookie — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 5:38pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Wow – if these people can afford the time and money to make this thing maybe the economy is not tanking afterall.

Comment by bob harris — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 6:09pm PST  Reply to this post
  • This reminded me of something you’d see the characters in THE OFFICE doing.

    That wasn’t a compliment.

Comment by Terry — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 11:28pm PST  Reply to this post
  • Come on people. It’s Christmas time. Why so much bitterness? I heard that the whole thing cost a couple of hundred bucks to make, and I just noticed that the studio of Slumdog Millionaire put the spoof on their official website. High praise indeed.

In a week of bad economies and worse weather, this video really cheered me up.

Comment by Just wondering — Friday December 19, 2008 @ 11:50pm PST  Reply to this post
  • I thought it was cute & funny-why is everyone taking it so seriously ?
If you know those guys its even funnier !

  • If Ashton is going to make internet stars out of his staff, I suggest he hire some better looking people. Or is he contractually obligated to be the prettiest person in the room at all times?

Comment by I'm Just Wondering Too — Saturday December 20, 2008 @ 8:21am PST  Reply to this post
  • I heard they had a lot of problems at the script level.

Love the screen cap of Langley, however. whatever exercise regimen she’s keeping is working out…

  • Oh some of you haters!!!! The video was funny and entertaining… to the first poster, you think this is obscure?? Have you been living under a rock not to know about “Slumdog Millionaire”? (which is a great film btw). Great job guys! ^_^
