I’m told there were some firings at Fox Home Entertainment. My studio sources confirm that Steve Feldstein, Dorrit Ragosine and Chris Reichert were all dismissed. There are lots of rumors as to the reason why, some very juicy, but all I can squeeze out of insiders is that there were hush-hush “policy issues”. Others describe the execs as very competent and express shock that the trio lost their jobs. I’ve got to get on a plane heading to the East Coast again for family business tonight. So I won’t be able to post more about this or other topics before Wednesday.

Wow! Two weeks after the fact I get a phone call pointing me to this site. Nothing from the studio. Very sorry to hear what has happened.
I run a large website devoted to DVD and Home Theater. We have worked with all the studios in an effort to bring them closer to consumers who purchase their product.
Dealing with Peter Staddon was one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. When Peter left, and we found ourselves left with Steve Feldstein, I’ll be the first to admit there was a bit of a warming up period.
However, I will say this….
Steve took a genuine interest in our forum and its membership. I never had to beg him to have us out to his studio or to sponsor an event at a national show. Steve went to great lengths to make certain our events with his studio were memorable. That included feeding a crowd of people and providing them with handfuls of product to take home.
Honestly, as difficult as it was to get cooperation from other studios, you can see how much Mr. Feldstein’s generosity really made an impact upon us. We did our best to reciprocate.
Right now as I look at this situation I shudder to think what our relationship with Fox is going to be like. Without Peter Staddon and Steve Feldstein, we have no idea who we will be dealing with next and if that person is going to be as open-minded and will embrace the online community the way these two gentlemen did.

Steve is creative, brilliant, courageous, and incredibly loyal. If anyone thinks otherwise, they don’t get him and probably never will. I personally love the guy and am very grateful for the time I spent working for him. The fact that any company would throw that away, tells me that they didn’t deserve him in the first place. Onward and upward Steve!
