I hear MRC just hired Brye Adler from Plan B to be the new production executive under Tori Metzger.

I had a salad without onions or croutons today and a green tea, does that get it’s own post? It’s just as newsworthy.
Seriously, Nikki? This happens everyday – this guy was an assistant at Plan B and got a ce title for 5 months before he just left. Are you going to cover assistants changing jobs now? Good grief.
How the mighty have fallen when we have to read about assistants getting a mini-promotion. Slow day?
Great hitter. Lefty. A very tough out.
I think the key word in this story is “hired” no matter at what level. Not much of that going on anywhere right now! Bravo to the few who achieve that status. May there be more to come…..anywhere!!
Wow —
Are some peps pissed! We must be in Hollywood…
How about you all get back to your bosses’ calls and stop picking on someone who’s actually getting it done.
I have it on very good authority that he got the job in a HUGE poker hand! Owner of MRC put the job out there on the table, and Rainmadler called.
Nice call.
This job is huge. Brye is the bobby fisher of Hollywood… Nothing more pathetic than jealousy when the rest of town is celebrating
Wow… tough crowd.
Not a great move for Media Rights Capital.
He will be the Production Executive under Tori Metzger – I don’t think that is tantamount to glorified assistant bull****. Haters.
Wow, how bitter are you people? Most execs were assistants at some point. If you’re not assistants yourselves (coz you sound like bitter assistants to me) then you should respect assistants a little more, I bet they do most of your grunt work and you’d be lost without them. In a town where it’s so hard to claw your way up a level, you should be happy someone did, even if it wasn’t you.
i hear he put sweet in low instead of splenda in brad’s coffee so he was laid off. nikki, can you confirm? keep the crucial info flowing.
better than peeling carrots….
brye is one of the hardest working junior execs out there and it’s plan b’s loss if it’s anyone’s. stop bitching.
Are these negative posts from anyone “real” in this business? “Jason B”? What a joke. I bet you’re really excited about some no-budget documentary you are producing on flying cargo planes full of rubber dogsh*t outta Hong Kong. LET ME CLEAR UP ANY CONFUSION. Brye is not only a super smart EXECUTIVE with great filmmaker relationships, he will be immediate added value to MRC.
Good for brye!!!! He’s a smart kid who’s moving on up!!! More smart people leave Paramount the better.
Brye is a great guy – nice, hard working and with great people skills. Good luck man.
Who in their right mind would want to work at MRC? The place is the joke of the biz these days! Let’s see, a move from an A list talent production company to a hack fest, yikes.
Bry makes a mean cup o’ joe; he’ll be missed
Brye is solid.
And not bad looking either.
Brye is the Sh*t! All the rest of you need to go Schwenktner each other…
Have known Brye for a couple of years. Few people work harder or have as keen an eye for material. Nice pick up for MRC.

“Anyone know if Dede is still with Plan B?”
Yeah, Gardner is still there along with Jeremy Kleiner.
