Saw an advance of “Taken” and all I can say is Liam Neeson rocks like you wouldn’t believe!
This movie doesn’t let you breathe and when it does, Liam’s acting will blow you away.
Finally I’ve seen a film that portrays what it might really be like to be a retired spy and the terrible baggage it must carry. And there is a dinner scene that will be talked about by action mavens for years to come.
This film was done by the director of “District B13″ one of the best action films of the last ten years.
I hope it does well so we can have more.
I agree that Taken was amazing and a throwback to the great 80′s no apologies action films but it should be noted that it is also a throwback to the 80′s no logic and villains with no aim films. You can’t go in expecting common sense. It’s The Transporter with the cheesy action replaced with sheer brutality.
If you like action movies, turn your brain off and enjoy the ride but if almost amoral violence isn’t your cup of tea, you might just hate this film.
I’m going to take my whole family to go see Paul Blart: Mall Cop for the third time! It’s a lighthearted romp, and I just love Kevin James’ comedic chops and the amazing direction. It’s definitely a comedy for the ages…all of them!
wow, street-teamers up in this joint. lol @ anyone but a paid shill using the phrase “lighthearted romp.”
Not surprising, NEW IN TOWN is nowhere to be seen. The trailer tells us to stay far, far away from that one.
@ hypeforall – I thought you’re talking about the unbelievable comments re: TAKEN…
Soulhonky’s right with one thing: no logic. No common sense… Act I works, but then we go bye-bye fast.
