I heard that the Frost/Nixon Best Actor nominee waited until Oscar voting had closed before jumping from Innovative to WMA’s Ed Limato. Whoa, that’s cold.

It’s funny, I was thinking when I saw FROST/NIXON that Langella was doing a cross between Nixon and Limato. More like LIMATO/NIXON.
What a tool for so many reasons. His agent, Bill, is a great guy and class act that has put up with his nuttiness for so long. It’s too bad he doesn’t get to reap the rewards of his hard work.
Maybe Ed is just signing him to get him to play himself in the Ed Limato story.
the only reason for langella to sign with ed, is so he can study him, and play him on stage or in film. nothing else can come of it.
clearly frank is still in tricky dick character. this move is just plain disloyal and pathetic… hopefully this goon gets a goose egg on sunday night

who cares….
The business is cold. Welcome to it. And Ed’s a great agent. Good fit.
What will be really cold is if he thanks WMA when (if) he wins the award. It’s always sad when such authentic actors act so shamefully. Btw, how is that other poster so sure its a great fit?
Let’s face it, Innov. is a really good agent for TV but has failed to light the world up on the film side. Look at the other film actors who have left for the big 5 and there’s a trend there.
“Look at the other film actors who have left for the big 5 and there’s a trend there.” This is a confusing statement but I see what you are getting at and i think it is an old assumption. Many many actors leave small to mid sized agencies for “the big 5″ only to find their film careers not receiving the attention they thought it would. There are a few exceptions of course and I’m sure Langella will be fine at WM but he is up for an oscar unlike the majority of up and comers who always think the grass is greener on the other side and end up leaving the agents who helped them construct their careers.
He really is great as Nixon, but he has kind of hit his peak. There are only so many film roles for him because he is a bit of a ham sandwich…
ed limato is the best agent in hollywood. by far. good choice frank.
You can’t keep a good man down, no matter how hard you try.
It always comes back to bite you in this ass.
