How interesting that today, at the MPTF's audio news conference, no one from the Los Angeles Times or the trades asked a single question. (Presuming, of course, they were listening.) And there was ample time provided, trust me.

What??!!!!!!!
Nikki – you all dat and a bag of chips. When you threw ‘gonnif’ out there, and their reaction was so…uh…textbook.
The bard said it best “thou protesteth too much” – which in my book means they had ownership of that word and they knew it.
It’s sad that they can’t just come out and say ‘hey, we need the property to develop it into some cool assisted living condos, and to hell with those old farts. F ‘em!’
I would have a lot more respect for them.
Shockingly nothing surprises me about this awful situation.
Shame on the MPTF.
Daughter of displaced resident
Shame on the MPTF and Jeffrey Katzenberg when they decided to close the MPH LTC unit that cares for the most vulnerable and most needing patients, but now shame on the LA Times too. They didn’t cover the protest rally held at the MPH a couple of weeks ago except a small article buried in the business section. But the LA Times did a nice bang up job on the Oscar nominees on the front page and Calendar section. Maybe they were afraid they’d piss off or embarrass the elitess Hollywood fat cats and celebrities including the gazillionaire Jeffrey Katzenberg, head of the MPTF. What, are they afraid they might embarrass him enough not to get the latest interview with him about some upcoming deal or film. That is why the LA Times is hemorrhaging money, loosing readership and ready to go bankrupt. Screw them. It is for this reason I’m dropping my subscription to their paper and going with the Daily News. For the record, my Mother is living at the MPH in long term care. I now feel you are all complicit in signing my mother’s death sentence.
They are scum.
Katzenberg lied
