So everybody’s been hating on Imagine/Universal’s Robin Hood project before and after Sienna Miller was shoved out. That’s when the rumors started that it happened because one of the greatest actors of our generation Russell Crowe at 45 was too fat and old for the actioner in comparison. Oh, puh-leeze. The truth is 27-year-old Sienna Miller is also box office poison. Anyway, now Universal has slotted in the 39-year-old Cate Blanchett, Russell is getting buff, Ridley Scott starts principal photography in April, and the movie will get a name change as well. So can everyone give this a rest? (On the other hand, let’s talk about the constant battling I heard took place between always combative Michael Mann and Johnny Depp on Uni’s Public Enemies coming out July 1st.)
Editor-in-Chief Nikki Finke - tip her here.

And will the dingdong who said this article was libelous please get a freaking clue!
“And do you know for a fact that Russell Crowe pushed her out? If not, then that sounds like libel to me.”

Oh, please. That is not libel. Maybe “anonymous at 1:19″ needs to learn something about defamation.
Who are these posters yammering on about Sienna Miller’s morals? They sound like a bunch of nuns. I doubt any director or studio is concerned about Miller because of that. If anyone’s behavior has made directors, studios and financial backers stay away it is Russell Crowe. And you know that, Nikki. Unfortunately Cate, as much as I love her, isn’t a box office draw either but she is much more liked than Crowe.
This movie has devolved into a great big yawn. I, too, liked the idea of the Robin Hood story through the eyes of the Sheriff. Interesting twist.
Thank you Liz and totally agree.
These people have gone crazy. Why are so many of you acting like Russell Crowe is the first actor to gain weight for a movie roll?
Do you honestly think he won’t take it off? I can’t wait until this flick comes out and makes a fool out of everyone of you judgemental people.
Miller has been box office poison since the launch of her so called career! Have any of her film projects pulled in much money? Not really.
Miller’s so called career mainly consists of bonking married men!
I would have to agree with the comment by cirque, Miller is to amoral to play the role of Maid Marion.
This film is better off without Miller.
Sienna Miller cannot act, period. I’ve seen her in Alfie; not a big deal. She has no range. Cate Blanchett is a real actress.
angie, so because you have seen her in one movie(where she had 2 minutes of screen time) you assume she can’t act. What idiotic logic. Go see her indie films, she’s a very solid young actress and is great at accents. Obviously you have some kind of grudge against her.
I don’t know if she is box office poison or not, but I know myself and several people I know can’t bring ourselves to go to movies that have her in the cast.
I just don’t like the way she behaves and the kind of things she says to defend herself. She never takes responsibility and she acts like a diva, even though she is not one of the major Hollywood actresses.
She doesn’t have the maturity level to be a major leading lady, and Ridley Scott realized that.
And about G.I. Joe, get real. She is one out of many. What has Watchmen done for Malin Ackerman. Nothing.
