UPDATE: "It's one of many conversations about examining our talent department and how to make it work more efficiently. Some of these conversations have included Gaby, yes. We have to make things better," says a WMA insider. 
That's the reaction to what a good source tells me is a shakeup underway inside the William Morris motion picture talent department headed by Gaby Morgerman (clients Mark Ruffalo, Chelsea Handler). According to my source's scenario, she'll be out, and Michael Cooper (Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones) and Charles King (Tyler Perry) are going to run it together. Cooper is considered a Jim Wiatt’s protégé because he used to be an assistant on the CEO's desk. And I've been receiving nonstop complaints about Morgerman from inside WMA for almost a year now.

The only thing Gaby was fit to do was to be a personal trainer to WMA agent(s), but then again that’s how she got the job in the first place. About time they let Charles King run the show!

I had a convo w/ a source very close to Cooper about a month ago that they were going to give him the talent dept. Looks like it’s coming to pass.

Charles King is the only one in that scenario worth running the department, much less being employed as an agent. Gaby is a vile human being, who Jim Wiatt is afraid of, thus her role. Cooper’s only tallent is mimicry — he’s the court jester who amuses the emperor with no clothes, Wiatt. Does this mean Fogelman also is out?? Even if he’s not, when Endeavor takes over, they will eat these guys for lunch.

I am however a client of his and a very happy one. Not quite sure how being screwed over goes though, since he discovered me when I was still an assistant, stayed as my agent for two years while I made him no money, then basked in the success that we were lucky enough to find together. Not to mention he’s a good friend too — first call I get during the holidays, great dinner companion, and a friend to anyone I’m close with.
Bitter people like you, spreading anonymous hate on good agents just because you had a bad experience with him, are part of the problem.
Stop it. The business deserves better.
While Charles does have respect among talent, Cooper is consider a sycophant of Jim’s. They may as well put annoint Irv Weintraub to head up talent. That would give him something to do, would fit his ego and then he could continue to stab everyone in their back. He’d probably do no worse than Gaby and their reputations are similar.
WMA is a joke. This move proves it. Endeavor – buy ‘em out, get the real estate and get their strong music department. Keep a couple of their mediocre agents and dump the rest – they certainly aren’t worth keeping nor (as you will tell from the spread sheets) do they bring in enough $$ to cover overhead.
Word here in New York is that WMA’s ENTIRE theater dept. is about to be jettisoned.

Gaby’s exit would also be helpful reminder to Tracy and Risa G. at a certain other agency that while neither of you are incompetent like Gaby is, being abrasive and rude all the time is a good way to make people eager for your exit.

i really think nikki should change her commenting policy to a registration only policy and she should vet names. let’s have real conversations here where honesty and integrity are part of the deal. and if that means calling out some scumbags in our business then let’s do it from a real place instead of just anonymous bitching.
Yup, it’s about time Gaby Morgerman is out. She didn’t deserve the job in the firt place and only got it because of her husband entertainment lawyer Kevin Morris. WMA is smart to get her out and soon.

Gaby should have been let go a long time ago. Suprised she lasted this long. Maybe she can go work for her husband at Morris Yorn once she gets the boot!
It’s nice Dorothy finally landed the house on Gaby. But it took a long time and she’s done a lot of damage to her clients and WM. To add another film metaphor, “Lazy, stupid and well-connected is no way to go through life.”
I find it disturbing Gaby is out buying herself a 12 million dollar house, while in the meantime she has played a big role is the fall of WMA.

Gaby was a mean bitch when she worked the assistant desk and has only gotten meaner over the years. No one liked her then and no one likes her now. People she thinks are her friends are just lying to her face.
It was just a matter of time before karma caught up with Gaby. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone have anything nice to say about her.
