Now I hear that 3 agents and 10 assistants were let go Friday. The agents are Jim Hess (talent), Frank Raina (talent), Jessica Love (branding). There will be more West Coast agents cut as their contracts come due, and the next round may hit the lit department as well as the talent division again. The word coming in to me is that owner Sam Gores is off to the New York office to lay off more agents this week. It is important to remember that Gores did keep his staff together during the writers strike. But financial conditions these days are playing havoc with all the agencies.
Paradigm Sends People Packing Today
Editor-in-Chief Nikki Finke - tip her here.

yest they still kepp Jim Osborne who was let go from ICM for very good reasons…talke about being dragged down
Prayers are with those who lost their jobs.
Paradigm is a sinking ship. if it wasn’t for Gores money, the agency would be out of business. when you have morons like Steve Small, Andrew Rogers and Jim Osborne running talent and that weak Valarie Phillips running literary, you have the recipe for a very mediocre agency with one client, Katherine Heigl.
Come on anonymous be real…that genius Jim Osborne- when he comes in to the office at all- represents Hayden Christensen who just got an overall deal at fucking SCREEN GEMS.
I am sure Josh Smug Lieberman at CAA is laughing at what this kid did to his career. The last film went right to DVD.
Osborne reps Gary Oldman who works and Adrian Brody.
yeah, kestellian, i forgot about Christiansen and the whopping deal at Screen Gems which i hear wasnt an overall deal, but two optional movies (big difference)Osborne has a couple decent client, but I hear the guy doesn’t show up to meetings and doesn’t come in the office until after lunch, but the company is so desperate to keep his mediocre clients that no one will discipline him. How pathethic!!
Wow. I’m represented by Paradigm and I work ALL the time. They get me job after job. They’re amazing.
Thanks Joy.
