• I remember when I was just starting out and a friend showed me Swimming with Sharks and at the time I thought it was a pretty good movie and Kevin Spacey’s character was a total dick.

• Yes, too long by half, but loved the bit about the gift baskets. I used to survive on those when I was an asst. Definitely should have mentioned the drug runs, however, that and covering up the boss’ sexcapades. A good asst. generally has it wired. At least that’s how we rolled in the ’90′s!

• Agree w/ others… they forgot about covering up boss’ sexcapades and the drugs. Can’t believe I was relieved in those days to only deal w/ the sexcapades and not have a boss who expected drug deliveries.

• Every year, for years on end, some smart ass assistants do some sort of stunt. Be it a tell all email or chain letter or website or Kevin Spacey movie and now the lame videos. It’s just not that interesting. Nobody gives a shit about assistants. Never have. Never will. Get over it. Speaking as a former assistant who swam upstream way back when, nobody gives a shit about you. So be something else and stop bitching.
