So Endeavor TV packaging agent/partner Marc Korman hails from Illinois and happens to be friends with that state’s disgraced governor Rod Blagojevich. If you’ve been following politics, then you know that Blago had been locked in a pitched battle with just appointed White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel,
who is Ari’s older brother and took over Blago’s Congressonal seat and stayed friendly until Blag tried to strongarm Rahm about who would succeed Barack Obama as the junior U.S. Senator from Illinois. The other day Korman wanted to take a meal with Blago and ran it past Ari just to be sure. “You cannot do it,” the Endeavor co-founder fumed. “You’re not going to have lunch with this fucking guy. Not a chance.” And Korman didn’t.
UPDATE: Speaking of Blago, here’s a first look at this hilarious grilling by David Letterman tonight. This is the first of the 3 segments that will be aired:

Endeavor will be representing Blagojevich a year from now when he’s got a talk show on Headline News.
What a pussy.
It’s not like the Emanuel brothers are anymore charming than Blago…
Marc Korman and Rod Blagojevich have many things in common – they both can’t tell the truth and they both have significant hair issues that need immediate attention. It figures they are friends.
Wow. Korman must have flipped his wig.
hey colinsmith.
dont you mean “Hairline News”?
WALL – E
I know Marc Korman and this all perfect sense. Yes there is a hair issue. That’s a fact of life. He cant help that. However, telling the truth, being honest, and associating with honorable people is Marc’s biggest issue. Someone should call Sue Naegle and ask her about Marc Korman’s ability to tell the truth. Better yet, someone should call Peter Roth and see what he says about Marc Korman ability to tell the truth. Even better, someone should call Marc’s old colleagues at UTA and see what they say about Marc’s ability to tell the truth. But at the end of the day, people should call Marc and ask him why he cant tell the truth. His answer – “I always tell the truth and so does my friend Rod Blagojevich”
WALL-E:
Korman doesn’t have hair issues. He has a system. And a damn fine one at that.
Ari is funny. Can’t we all hear him saying that to Marc? He’s like, half gangster/half agent (which are, technically, the same thing). Gotta give Nikki props for capturing the flavor of that conversation. Good stuff.
who KNEW gavin had such an axe to grind????
Marc’s a good agent, a hard worker, and a straight shooter. Some colleagues at his former agency haven’t fully gotten over his departure, so they took advantage of this anonymous comment section to libel him. Very classy. I’d sign my name to this, but those agents would just badmouth me too.
Nikki, we in Ill. call that asswipe Blago, not Blag.
He’s lost his $177,000 a year, his wife was fired from her $100,000 do-nothing job last week, there are reports that they’re going to sell their home in Ravenswood Manor worth around $900,000 & move to a condo & rumors that his multimillionaire father-in-law is paying some or all of their bills.
His campaign fund will disappear to pay massive legal bills.
One of his lawyers fired him as a client because he won’t listen to him.
He’s in deeper shit than he’s letting on!
He spent $500,000 of tax money to put his name in two foot high letters on numerous signs over the Illinois Tollway. It cost the tollway $15,000 to cover his name up.
He refused to live in the governor’s mansion in Springfield, so he used one of the state’s planes to fly back & forth between Springfield & Chicago every day!
We’re not sure what that cost us.
He rarely went to the office in the huge state office building in Chicago, he went to what he called his North Side office, which was in reality his campaign fundraising office that’s less than two miles from his house.
That’s where the FBI bugs were placed & the tapes & transcripts came from.
His most recent poll numbers were somewhere in the 6% approval ratings.
We’re all happy as clams to be rid of him, his election & re-election were flukes due to the broken politics of this wretched state.
And everything he’s said the last two weeks is a lie.
And his claim that taxes have to be raised, guess what?
Illinois is broker than California!
All because he has been against any taxes of any kind or even any form of tax reform.
What new & very honest Gov. Quinn [he has a history of being honest to a fault] is probably going to do is raise the income tax on those making over $250,000 a year.
Poor babies!
But that doesn’t affect Blago or Patti, who not only have less income now, just his inflated state & federal pensions, but his state pension will go away when he’s convicted. And Patti will also be indicted & convicted on her crooked real estate deals. Plus his brother will also go to federal prison.
There won’t be a trial either, he’s going to make a deal with the Feds, Patrick Fitzgerald is methodical beyond belief & is going to convict all of Blago’s crooked buddies first & get them to flip on him!
And so the Feudal Lord of the Great Agency passed his decree: Let no one in this kingdom break bread with Blago or you shall feel the sting of thy lord’s whip.
Peasants get what they deserve.
Korman must be pulling his hair out over this.
Sure, it’s all funny until Emanuel negotiates a reality show deal for Blago.
I always love how the fat, bald and unemployed (and that’s just the chicks) love to spend their time knocking down people who actually work and succeed. I don’t know about Blago but MK is an excellent agent who works hard, has a loyal clientbase and is respected by anyone who he’s made money for (clients, networks, studios). But you know what’s so fun, anyway? Making fun of him! Wow, what a blast. Heck, most of you have plenty of time between bitching at Starbucks about not being able to get an agent or about someone like Mark stealing your clients. Mark Korman gladly drinks your tears of bitterness.
If Condi Rice (war criminal) can get an agent then so can Blago, it just won’t be at Endeavor.
I’m a client of Korman’s. He’s been a great agent. He has always told me the awful truth, which has saved my ass many times. He has also fought for me when my career was in the toilet. He has helped me come back more than once. I am fully aware that one day, I may be unmarketable, and our relationship will end. But that’s the business. In the meantime, he has always done work on my behalf time and again that has been stellar, loyal, and driven by a faith in my ability. Not TALKED, MADE THINGS HAPPEN. Actions speak louder than words.
