• I just checked and July 1st, 2011 is a Friday. Be just a bit more greedy and go for June 29, 2011. That is a Wednesday and the start of a nice long six day weekend. Guess they are saving the date for Will Smith.

• Which, of course, will become Wednesday, June 29. Why does every 4th of July weekend movie announce as a Friday and then switch to that Wednesday? They know they’re gonna move the date, so just announce it as a Wednesday from the outset. Why is that so difficult?

  I thought I heard Michael Bay say he would do the third one, but wanted a break after part 2 is released. If it’s on another 2-year interval, this won’t give the filmmakers hardly ANY time away from the franchise. As a Transformers geek growing up, I’d much rather they give it 3 years instead of rushing it to maximize $$$ quicker.
