• Thanks College Student for the follow up – I missed a couple of those episodes. What I’m referring to specifically is Disney’s marketing/peddling of young adolescent sexuality with personas like ‘not just a girl/not yet a woman’ pleasuredroids miley, britney et al.
  That Disney does so with these children’s pimps/parents is no excuse.
  The south Florida boy pedophile ring managed by Lou Perlman would not exist without the peekaboo, fresh n’ naughty, multilayered exploitation of young performers as funded by the Disney corporation.

  As for the hoary and unrelated attacks on Jon Stewart posted here, the stock market is speculation, a pyramid that benefits those at the top and drains those at the bottom.
  Any advice broadcasted on television, on any network, is gutter information. Find something real to invest in and move on.

• No offense Mr. Kastner, but watch interviews before you critique them.

  Stewart’s issue with CNBC and the financial media has nothing to do with people buying stocks on their advice and being bummed they didn’t pan out. The entire piece last night was about complicity, in which the financial media knowingly and intentionally misguide their viewers, because their viewers are the ones providing the capital for the hedge fund brokers and dishonest traders to play with and get rich from – while destroying our market in the process.

  Cramer basically admitted to it on air last night (though with video footage of Cramer detailing how he could manipulate stock prices and get away with it because the SEC wouldn’t know what to look for, he didn’t have much choice).

  And as far as extending the Depression goes, most evidence points to the cut back in stimulus spending in 1937 – when FDR went along with the conservative voices of the day – as the reason why the recovery stalled at that point. That today’s conservative leaders are calling for the same kind of action today – a spending freeze no less – in the midst of this economic crisis is ignorant at best.

  Oh, and the South Park ep was genius.

• Thank you Crusaderrabbit. You nailed my exact sentiment – anyone who takes any source of info from the media (web, tv, print, etc..) at face value is deluding themselves. A lot of these sources have counted on their consumers to surrender their judgement in favor of their own… dangerous stuff.

• I’ve always felt Disney was EVIL in the way they sexualize our children, even from Britney’s first album when she was 16 years old, on her knees, gazing up at adoringly the camera with obviously faked innocence, as if just waiting for something hot and hard to be pressed against her fresh-scrubbed face.

  “Hannah Montana” is full of boy-crazy plotlines, and many of their shows blatantly create jailbait fantasies. Repeatedly, going back to Annette Funicello, Disney has launched an alleged squeaky clean starlet who gradually morphs into a bosomy sex object.

  Look at what happened to the modern Mickey Mouse club — Justin, Britney, Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell — as they degenerated from All-American kids to detached, sex-crazed, lowest-common denominator types (well, maybe not Keri, until recently in that junkie photo shoot for Details). Disney hooks our kids while they’re young with supposed role models, then the role models go all to hell, with hopes of pulling our kids down with them.

  I tell you: Disney is EVIL.

• If disney does not do anything their fan base will not really know about south parks dis, if disney makes a fuss, they may lose tens of millions for their stockholders, maybe even billions

  better to be the giant and act as if southpark does not exist and their perfect world goes on,

• It’s a little known fact that Drudgebots are heavy investors in the Massengil company (apologies to How I Met Your Mother for that joke).

  While I give Cramer points for agreeing to come on the Daily Show, he CLEARLY didn’t understand that TDS’ research crew might be the best team in all of media. Cramer honestly seemed surprised at the level to which Stewart did his homework. It’s interesting that John Galt Santelli is still being a chickenshit and refusing to come on the show.

  As to Cramer v Stewart – interesting that people are celebrating a shill for the democratic party denouncing a shill for Wall Street. When Stewart starts playing tapes of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Maxine Waters swearing on the soundness of Fannie and Freddie, instead of going after Santelli for truthfully calling out those who re-financed and bought toys and other things they couldn’t afford, I might start watching again.

• The Jonas Brothers and Disney deserve it because they’ve been pushing these prostitots for years. I stumbled upon an episode of Hannah Montana while channel surfing the other day and was disgusted to see Miley Cyrus dressed like a San Jose streetwalker while doing her best Lainie Kazan circa 1996 routine. And last year on Dancing With the Stars, I lost count of the number of close-up crotch shots of the Jonas Brothers.
