United Talent and its motion picture lit agent Adam Weinstein are parting company. I don’t get it: this kid was Jeremy Zimmer’s assistant and is a junior agent who has been intensely loyal to the UTA mo-pic chief. Disappointing.

What’s interesting is how ICM is no longer part of the discussion. They are signing no one, are not a factor at all…I even notice that they share their vanity ads in the trades with managers and other companies, I guess because they can’t afford them on their own.
Weinstein is my MP lit agent over there. Smart guy, hard worker, and he’ll be missed.
This is a sad shame. Adam is a fantastic young agent, i’m sure he’ll be snatched up quick. UTA is hell on earth anyway.
Poor guy. He deserved better.
HUGE mistake. Adam is one of the smartest young lit agents in town. He will land somewhere FAST. – I have NO doubt.
his older brother, bill weinstein, is a mp agent at the newly formed wme…
This is so surprising. Adam is one of the best people I have met in this crazy business.
Total BS. Weinstein’s a fantastic agent.
Adam is a good agent and a great person. He will be fine. UTA’s loss completely. Keep your head up, Adam!
ya, he’s such a great guy. hopefully he’ll still be in close contact with UTA and find a position that doesn’t work him 20 hrs/day.
Weinstein is one of the best junior guys around. In an environment that breeds, and rewards, over-inflated egos and bravado, Adam has always been level-headed and helpful – returns calls, has good ideas, and is just a pleasant guy to work with. Somebody will snap him up,
Adam Weinstein is a great agent, and is probably one of the most liked guys in that building.
This is a shame, and I hope it was done mutually. Maybe Weinstein is going to go join is brother?
Regardless, they are losing someone great.
Such a shame. Adam was a good guy and a hungry young agent. Im sure there is more to the story, but this is still below the belt, even for Zimmer.
This is a nice way to find out that my agent just left. No wonder he didn’t call me back.
i agree, this is crazy. adam weinstein is the real deal. he’s a passionate guy and a great agent. what a terrible loss. i wish him the best.
If this is true it is truly a shame. Adam is a great agent. Smart, insightful and professional. Hope it’s not true.
Very disappointing. Adam’s great, a real go-getter. No doubt he’ll land on his feet and do great things somewhere else.
weinstein is great. he will land somewhere and make uta look dumb. not very hard.
If it’s a Zimmer plan, it will backfire. He has a long history of making horrible management decisions. We need leadership more than commissions. They talk and talk, but the actions are so stupid.
I honestly don’t understand why the UTA partners haven’t pushed Jeremy out. He can’t be bringing in the type of business that most of the other senior partners are. After he lost M. Night, his business dropped dramatically. he’s drafting off of the new stars like Kramer and Belcher. Plus, the guy’s a downright sociopath.
That’s becasue he tried to steal Vincent Chase from Ari.
Oh wait, that’s JOSH Weinstein. Sorry.
Adam is one of the best young lit agents in town. He has integrity, good taste, loyalty, and a sense of humor. Too bad Zimmer has none of those things. Jeremy does have a huge gluteal cleft though, which is good because he houses his entire head up in there. Another (smarter) agency will snap Adam up in a minute or two, I’d bet, even in this climate. He’s worth it. A lot of people out there will want to help him too, he has a lot of fans. Unlike Zimmer, who probably just has crabs.
Adam is a quality guy and a fantastic covering agent. He covered my studio and completely outdid his counterparts at CAA, ICM and WMA, and closely edged out Endeavor as well. This will be another case like Maha Dakhil or Bill Zotti, where a solid agent is unappreciated at their in-flux agency, and another agency swoops in, allowing them to shine.
Adam is one of the absolute best. Have no idea why he’s leaving, but hope he ends up in a better place. Very seldom that anyone actually puts the words “talented” and “agent” together, but he’s one of those rare guys. UTA’s loss. Good taste, good person, hope I don’t have to spend too long missing him.
Ihis guy had a huge ego and was incredibly condescending in our dealings.Maybe his old boss could get away with that but really not acceptable from anyone, especially a young agent.Wishing the guy luck, maybe he’ll become an actor and star in “Side Show Bob: Origins.”
