• I thought mature audiences didn’t go to the movies anymore. Remember two weeks ago, with State of Play? (Does Angels and Demons really count as a grown-up film?)

• Don’t really care about Angels and Demons since based on Critics ratings it looks like it will be just about as bad as the DA Vinci Code. However, I hope that Finke will be on top of things tomorrow as the premier of T4 is at the Graumann in Hollywood or so I have read. Maybe word will leak out as to how good or bad this film is.

• Angels & Demons appears to be doing better than I thought. I saw it during the week and thought it was a solid, occasionally ridiculous, well made thriller. Nothing more. Certainly better than the first one.

  But Trek’s second weekend will be fascinating. A part of me is dreading all the crow I’m going to have to eat after I dismissed it’s chances of crossing into the mainstream audience. Anything less than a 50% drop and it’s looking good for the next few weeks.
