Any word on the deadweight international agents? Miami? London? What does the china office do?
She’s a rock star! They’re lucky to have her.
Elise is fantastic. UTA is lucky to have her.
That was fast. Didn’t even give her a chance to get an unemployment insurance check.
Well, it’s good to see someone in Hollywood operating with a little speed, and most likely pre-planning.
Good luck.
I little inside to the firings. The agents that were fired have still not been offered severance packages. You would think WMA would get this right but once again the three stoogies, Jim, Dave and Irv have screwed up. But thats why they lost theie company. What a shame many very talented people that were let go and are being treated very poorly. Irv rolled around WMA telling anyone who would listen what a tough day if was Monday. Irv, you really don’t know how tough it was. The rumor is another wave of firings will take place. Miami be ready!!!
The benefit of Teresa Peters abandoning ship early. She already knows who is worth bringing in.
elise is a superstar who was kept down by the old wma, and not appreciated by the new endeavor high five guys. she will be super fantastic money at uta. very nice
A malocchio on WME forever.
If Miami goes what happens to Aric Kurtzman who was transferred from LA in January and Michelle Vega the guy who actually brings money in?
so who’s in and who’s out at WMA??????
I know she had multiple offers, good for her. Endeavor lets one slip through their fingers. That’s what they get for sleeping with WMA.
BTW, if William Morris is dumping all their earners, where will “Matlock” end up?
It’s funny reading these posts because i remember when i was floater, I use to see Elise pretending to read docs but tilting her head to hear what Aaron Kaplan was saying in his office. She did that often with others too. True story. I guess you have to do that to survive.
Elise Henderson is one of the best young agents in the business. Considering she worked for egocentric, Machiavellian bosses who were more concerned about themselves than helping her, it’s to Elise’s credit that she did so well in that environment. She’s going to kick butt at UTA
Well well well, guess what, another day goes by and not deals for the fired agents. Jimmy, Irv, Dave, Ari do you have any clue how many lawsuits are about to come your way. Jim, Dave and Irv I hear the stockholders are wondering what their stock is valued out. Been along time since you let them know. Hold on for a bumpy bumpy ride guys. Not being nice to the fired will bring many more hours in court.. Remember Ari you are not very good in depositions. And by the way Jim you are the laughing stock around the hollywood water cooler. Time for you to start spending time with Mr Ovitz.
I work in the IT department at William Morris. We know who’s being fried because we are instructed to shut down the fired agents computers as they are being fired. They told us more are coming. I hate doing this, We have become friends with some of the fired agents and the ones that are about to be fired, We all wish we could shut down Jim and Irv’s computers. Hope we all have jobs after all the hard work we are doing to make William Morris’s computers like Endeavor.
Ahem… seriously? Elise got that offer BEFORE she knew whether or not she would be amongst the group let go–the entire company knew, as she was negotiating with WMA business affairs. She was never fired–and good for her! She took the high road, asked to be let out. She had multiple offers and will wind up kicking ass at UTA. She’s one of the smartest, most ethical, and creative people I know and UTA is incredibly lucky to have snagged her.
itdept, that really sucks. I know where you’re coming from. My company went through something like that and all my friends got layed off and it seems like I had to pull the plug on most of them. What are you guys doing to be “like Endeavor”?
