"HOLE IN THE HEART OF HOLLYWOOD" RALLY: KEEP THE MPTF NURSING HOME OPEN!
While elderly residents of the long-term care facility suffer daily under threat of eviction, the Motion Picture Television Fund (MPTF) will host “Heartbeat of Hollywood,” a golf tournament and “lavish cocktail party” on the very same campus. Unfortunately, even if requested by donors, the money raised will NOT go towards saving the home. Members of Saving the Lives of Our Own will gather outside this gala MONDAY, JUNE 1ST, AT 4:30 PM to protest that fact and to give a voice to the seniors directly affected by the closure.
To ALL members of the entertainment industry and various guilds, we urge you to show your support of the residents and their families by personally participating in the rally. We're at a tipping point! Help ensure that this world-class facility remains open for these seniors and for generations to come who’ve contributed to the fund with the expectation that this important safety net would remain in place.
Wear your guild gear and tell the MPTF that it is NOT okay to evict elderly seniors, nor to abandon their 80-year-old mission of taking care of Hollywood’s own. Thank you!

Not Just Another Rally
It’s true, the residents are near a tipping point. They’re close to being tipped into the abyss of crap healthcare in skilled nursing ‘homes’ where it’s light on the skill and devoid of any nursing.
We need to show our support to the families at this rally. The board will be still sweaty from following a ball around a golf course, and will have to face the protestors upon entry into the MPTF.
We’ve all got to show up.
Golf Tournament? I thought it takes balls to play golf.
Methinks more celebs will show up at the protest than at the “fundraiser”.
Let’s not forget all the legendary artists who spent their final years at the MPTF Home:

THESE FAT CATS HAVE NOTHING BUT $$$ ON THEIR MINDS AND AREN’T THINKING ABOUT PRESERVING THEIR HISTORY!!!!!
Will Jeffrey be there with all those limo-clad “supporters” who waved at the SAG folks on the street as they arrived at his big Academy Award “benefit” bash? Will there be a public accounting of where all that money went? Will the board of the MPTF be held accountable? Where are all the attorneys and others who promised to help? Having to do this at all is disgusting and beneath contempt! Where’s Bernie Madoff when you need him?!
It’s too late to save the fund. There are only a handful of residents left and Seth and David are just waiting for them to die to finish this off. And now that MPTF is no longer in need of charity, where is the money going to go that is raised by this golf tournament? What happened to the lawsuit? Why did the board approve bonus’s for the executives? Nice company-executives get bonus’s while laying off 300 employees. What kind of message does that send?
Something really stinks here! Where are the Feds?!
SAD FACT.
The only seniors on Campus targeted by the MPYF Leadership are the most handicapped and sick. Clearly their lives are viewed by the Fund leaders as not worth anything – no resources to be wasted on the most handicapped and sick, those that are “not productive.” It’s a perverted “successful aging” ideology.
COO Seth Ellis gave the MPTF Leaderships agenda away in 2007 when he unabashedly stated: “WE WANT THIS TO BE A PLACE FOR ELDERS TO LIVE THEIR BEST LIVES; NOT A PLACE THAT LOOKS AT SICKNESS.
Who else in recent history felt the same way?
It is NOT too late to save the Fund from its own wrong decision.
