(Keep refreshing for latest updates...)
I hear that Gary Unmarried, Rules Of Engagement, The New Adventures Of Old Christine, and How I Met Your Mother all look good for renewals. But Cold Case, Without A Trace, and The Unit are on the bubble. Also, Eleventh Hour looks on the "wrong side" of the bubble right now. As expected, The Mentalist, Ghost Whisperer, and NCIS will be renewed. The NCIS SPINOFF is a lock and will probably be paired on the schedule with the original. And THE GOOD WIFE still looks like a lock.
MIAMI TRAUMA and THREE RIVERS still neck and neck to be Les Moonves' medical show. Or will he pick up both?
ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE "looking good". WAITING TO DIE starting to heat up.
These are "in the mix": FISH TANK, HOUSE RULES, THE EASTMANS, U.S. ATTORNEY.
HAPPINESS ISN'T EVERYTHING may be cooling in the mix.
BACK isn't over yet.
THE BIG D and THE KARENSKYs have no heat.

As I've reported, MODERN FAMILY and FLASH FORWARD are on the schedule. THE MIDDLE is seriously heating up. ("I can't believe it. It's true," a source says.) So is AWESOME HANK (formerly The Pryors) with Kelsey Grammar starring and exec-producing. And ROMANTICALLY CHALLENGED remains hot even if Alyssa Milano was weak. THE LAW with Cedric The Entertainer "looks pretty good" along with COUGAR TOWN.
Those "in the mix" include: BEST THING EVER (formerly The New 20) with Eric McCormack, EMPIRE STATE, HAPPY TOWN, THE FORGOTTEN, INSIDE THE BOX, UNTITLED DAVID HEMINGSON LEGAL SHOW.
MELROSE PLACE, THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE, and VAMPIRE DIARIES all look good. LIGHT YEARS "not dead yet". No word about any resuscitation of THE GOSSIP GIRL SPINOFF after last night's numbers.

I've already told you that SONS OF TUCSON and HUMAN TARGET are on the schedule and MASTERWORKS will go midseason. BROTHERS looks good. So does PAST LIFE.
COP HOUSE passed on
THE STATION "not going to happen".
UPDATE: EVA ADAMS and TWO DOLLAR BEER both officially dead.
UPDATE: I'm told ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS was officially passed on today.
- Is This NBC's Fall Schedule? (Hmm... Chuck Returning, Southland on Friday)
- 'Sons Of Tucson', 'Human Target' Ordered, 'Lie To Me' Renewed
- New Fox Hot List; 'Sons Of Tucson' & 'Human Target' Join 'Glee' On Schedule

No Washington Field?!?
I can not believe the Karenskys has no heat! Linwood Boomer is a sit-com genius. This is a real disappointment.
Any more rumors about V?????? How it tested?
What about THIS LITTLE PIGGY?
i wish the networks could post all the pilots online and let the public decide. would it be that insane?
No Flashpoint for CBS?
anyone hear anything on Eastwick?
No word on Washington Field? That’s one of CBS’ pilots that I really want to see since Ed Bernero created it and Jon Cassar from 24 directed the Pilot. I also think Eddie Cibrian deserves another shot as a lead in a primetime show.
I heard the Adam Carolla pilot was very much in the running at CBS
How can Moonves drop 2 shows that hover around or are in the Top 10 and still deliver the ratings to the makers of Geritol and Depends? NBC has nothing more to lose with Leno kickin’ it at 10, but don’t be so quick to upset your apple cart, Les.
Without A Trace is my absolute favorite show and it’s killing me to know if it’s going to be renewed.
They have to announce May 20th right, so wouldn’t you think they have at least an idea of what they’re going to do???
Put me out of my misery!!!!
No Word about V? Maybe Midseason?
I am suprised there’s no talk about Washington field. It sounds like it would be a good one.
I saw the pilot for “Back” last week and I really loved it. The premise sounds wonky, but the show is surprisingly strong. Skeet Ulrich is phenomenal and Sherry Stringfield is excellent. The problem is, I don’t see this as a CBS show because there is NO WAY that it will repeat well or do well in syndication. This would be great on FOX or cablers like HBO, Showtime, F/X, or even TNT. I hope that “Back” does make it to series somewhere because it really was an all around excellent pilot that grabbed me from the first minute.
What about V? It’s getting great reviews on AICN and Twitter!
V also had great reviews from people who saw the screenings and posted over at my forum.
I hope any passing-over isn’t just a political thing (ie, ABC owns Flashforward, Warner Bros. owns V.) Maybe another net would be interested if ABC passes. It really is a terrific script.
What about the Body Politic for the CW?? No mention at all and the cast is amazing!!
V isn’t finished it yet. Got a late start.
And it’s hilarious how many pilots Alyssa Milano has ruined lately.
The Body Politic?
I’m starting to get a bit frustrated that it’s not even being mentioned. If it’s dead, say it’s dead. Better than no mention at all.
Rules Of Engagement? Seriously? I don’t know anyone that watches that show.
Kelsey Grammer pilot, whatever it will be called, one of my favorites of the year. Hope it happens.
Cold Case, Without A Trace, and The Unit are all quality shows with good ratings.
Gary Unmarried, Rules Of Engagement, are mediocre at best, with unremarkable ratings
The two shows that should be canceled by CBS are Gary Unmarried and Rules Of Engagement. They are nothing that the so called Tiffany network should be proud of, plus they are made under the jurisdiction of that scumbag union, AFTRA.
I agree. V got a late start. There’s a lot of articles that it might be a mid-season start but that would be ridiculous. Lots of chat on twitter etc…word is getting out and people are excited.
I also agree with “And it’s hilarious how many pilots Alyssa Milano has ruined lately.”
I second the motion on the Kelsey Grammar pilot. Classic sitcom, smart writing…tried and true formula. Why has it not been mentioned until now?
yes…anything on eastwick??
What – no word on “Numb3rs” yet… or is that just a given it will come back?
I am also hearing really good things about Adam Carolla pilot at CBS…
Kelsey Grammar tried and true? Or truly tired.
I loved him on Cheers and the first years of Frasier and as Sponge Bob, but he does feel more than a bit played out, no?
Time for a new era of stars.
@michelle
CW constantly supplies “an era of new stars” so maybe you should go over there and watch TV. I want someone on TV that I know is going to consistently make me laugh every week. Do you know much about the TV business? Because there are about two comedy pilots where I don’t see a “tried and true” TV star being the center of it.
PS, the woman who plays Kelsey’s wife is genius and teens are going to love the daughter
Anyone hearing anything about THIS LITTLE PIGGY for ABC? I heard testing went well, but haven’t heard much buzz either way about it…
First off I meant Sideshow Bob not Sponge Bob. Oops.
And I don’t mean someone fresh off the boat, but just someone we haven’t seen star in a network show before playing the same type of character we’ve seen them play for 20 years.
So Steve Carell, while known to fans of the Daily Show, was a new face for primetime TV.
Christina Applegate was best known as Kelly Bundy, but plays a totally different and fresh role on her current show.
Alec Baldwin hadn’t done a comedy before and is wonderful. And even though he’s been around and has chops, his performance feels fresh.
And I would love to watch a comedy with fresh talent on the CW, but they don’t make sitcoms anymore. Do love Reaper, which is quite comedic, and one of its actors (Tyler Labine) is starring in one of Fox’s new comedies (Sons of Tucson) so be happy to check it out. But if he plays that part for 20 years… I might want to see someone new. Crazy, I know.
V pilot didn’t live up to the premise. Flash Forward makes it look like a rookie pilot. Too bad….
Hey, any word on Terminator? It’s just about the only Fox show I cared about in the last couple of years. Or does no mention imply I don’t even have to ask considering the ratings?
Hearing good things about Adam Carolla’s pilot. The taping was apparently fantastic.
Fish tank needs to get picked up!! If 24 million people tune in to watch the drake and josh movie how many people are going to tune in every week to watch this show!! its going to be a huge hit and it was the best script this pilot season hands down!!
I was really looking forward to Back and intrigued by the story and premise. Really a shame if it doesn’t get picked up somewhere. Just getting to see John McGinley playing the straight man would be interesting and I love Skeet and Sherry.
So happy Ghost Whisperer was picked up for Season 5!
The CW should really pick up The Gossip Girl Spinoff and keep the stupid Mischa Barton show til midseason.
Please God.. let Three Rivers be picked up. Alex O’Loughlin is a great actor and he deserves it and we, his fans, deserve it also.
NY isn’t ready for “BACK”. I saw the pilot and although I did like it, I don’t see it on CBS. It could work on cable but honestly NY just doesn’t want to deal with 9/11 and the awful memories…not yet..please.
I’m already planning on BACK ruling my TV schedule. How could CBS not go for such an interesting hook?!
“Back” really does seem to have the most interesting story of all the dramas being considered by any network. I’m already planning on being a faithful viewer…
Hearing This Little Piggie is gaining steam
I’m hoping Miami Trauma does not get picked. The acting was flat. Some characters are just not likeable. The Casting was way off.
“You’re lame” sounds like a shill. Bit too defensive there, plus the pointless personal insult.
9/11. SERIOUSLY?! A TV show about people who went missing in the 9/11 attacks and arent dead. SERIOUSLY?! Wow. That should REALLY be a hit in New York. Probably about as much as the Air Force One flyover for a photo op was. Good Thinking.
Anyone seen the pilot for the Forgotten – is it really that good?
Jack, where did you see Miami Trauma.
Any word on the Untitled Jeff Strauss comedy on ABC?
OH NO!!! Without a Trace on the bubble??? I will cry. It’s the only CBS drama I watch.
SAVE IT, Les!!!!
All Eleventh Hour fans….come help us at the ELEVENTH HOUR RENEWAL CAMPAIGN:
http://www.cbs.com/forum/posts/list/46315.page
Please, pick up Three Rivers!!!
What’s the status of “The Unusuals”?
Nikki udpated earlier; Cold Case and Rules are looking good, but Without a trace may still be in trouble. Some other sites have pretty much written off Unit. A couple of sites also say that Thrre Rivers will be picked up.
KATE MOENNIG!!!…THREE RIVERS!!!
IMO, a pity if The Unit isn’t renewed. Give it one more season, and then deactivate it. Excluding 24 on Fox (which is close but no cigar), CBS is the only place to find a program like this. I wonder if it might do better if scheduled earlier in the evening?
I could do without Cold Case and Old Christine. Gary Unmarried fills the time as well as anything else CBS has to offer. Eleventh Hour and Without A Trace would be nice to have around, but where do you daypart these two if you program two medical shows, The Mentalist, and NCIS West? Or perhaps Les is planning to platoon two medical shows, having them tag-team the audience in midseason?
Fox seems to have a clue; their schedule looks like it will have actual audience flow, like CBS’s. ABC is the net where scheduling will get really, really interesting. IMO, Desperate Housewives is getting tired, with maybe two seasons left in it. Thursday nights on ABC are eminently forgettable. It’s a real problem for them. ABC seems in search of an identity outside of Disney.
Stick a fork in NBC; they seem done to me.
Alyssa Milano said on her twitter yesterday that her show was NOT picked up & she seemed pretty bummed about it. “It’s w/ sadness that I share that the pilot was not picked up for fall. Boo! But we may still have a shot at a midseason pickup. Yay! xoxox”
Fingers crossed for “This Little Piggy.” Saw the pilot and it is hilarious…
