Twilight may have swept five awards — including best movie, best kiss and best fight — at tonight’s MTV Movie Awards. But everybody’s talking about that Sacha Baron Cohen stunt that “shocked” Eminem. MTV is claiming this was unscripted. (Then again, MTV produced that Janet and Justin wardrobe malfunction Nipplegate for the 2004 halftime Super Bowl show aired on CBS — then claimed that was unscripted, too.)

Normally I’d assume this was pre-arranged with Eminem, but he’s so notoriously homophobic, I have a hard time really imagining him agreeing to something like this…

Sasha Cohen is as useless as the programming on MTV. He is a classless jackass. Let’s face it if you have to fly from the ceiling in a bird outfit wearing butt floss to get a laugh, it might be time to change your shtick. You couldn’t pay me to watch that moron.
It looked scripted as far as landing on Eminem, but that does not mean Eminem knew what exactly was going to happen. Why would Eminem agree to a joke where there was no real punchline from HIS POV? Do rappers make themselves look foolish with a guys naked ass in their face?
it was clearly scripted on SBC’s and MTV’s part but I sure don’t get the impression Eminem was in on it.

Clearly scripted on the part of MTV and Cohen – the camera finds Eminem before cohen lands on him. But I don’t think Eminem knew what was coming.
Um… the camera closed in on Em while Cohen was still 10 feet up in the air and there was ‘no way’ to tell where he would land. ‘No way’ unless it was planed.
Yeah, what a total coincidence that this happened less than a week after Em’s new CD dropped. And now everyone is talking about this.
It certainly looks staged…on the other hand, is Cohen’s crotch in Em’s face good for sales?

Eminem may be an ‘angry homophobe’ etc. but he also is a funny guy – have U actually heard some of his lyrics? If they approached him first, then he could very well have been in on it.
It WAS scripted. It was a joke to get those bummy looking rappers out of the audience.
I mean why would a RICH man go to an awards show in a FRICKING T-SHIRT?

I don’t think it was scripted. The guy hit something in the air that threw his balance off and told the people to land him cuz he was flailing around upside down. No way he could have landed that perfect on Eminem even if he were trying. I had to rewatch it to see this though. They really shouldn’t do sh*t like this on live television. WTF is wrong with MTV? Didn’t they learn from the Britney/Janet/Justin fiascos? Guess not. I guess you could sa it made for good television in a way. But they owe Eminem a big apology. Of course, the way Eminem puts people on blast, it’s kind of sad that he can’t take as good as he gives.
Everything you see on TV is staged, planned or prepared by SOMEONE. The question is does that someone let everyone in on what’s really going down?
Shady probably agreed to a stunt for publicity’s sake, SBC definitely staged the “flight” in and being lowered but ain’t no way Em knew he was gonna have another grown man’s ass in his face with millions watching. I can hear Bruno taking a cue from Shaq, “Shady, tell me how my ass tastes?”
Em’s always playin’ the hardnosed rapper with street cred that’ll play pranks on others to make them feel stupid. S.B. Cohen is a brilliant comic because he planned a way to make a dick like Em, truly the butt of a joke.
And the notion that Em makes MTV so much money that they wouldn’t risk pissing him off is laughable. Em is a product, MTV is a network. The product will ALWAYS need the network. Last I checked Slim Shady, Dre and 50 have been missing from the MTV scene for a few years and the network is still goin strong.
1) Before Bruno landed on Em’s lap, the camera cut to Em’s surprised face when Bruno was stuck near the ceiling.
2) There were one microphone attached to each side of his hip near his ass to catch everything that was said by Eminem.
Mtv planned this. This is obvious. Eminem had no clue. No rapper would EVER let someone stick their ass in their face for the world to see and laugh. I get it: Bruno is doing this as a stunt for coverage prior to the debut. What’s sad is that Mtv was complicit in humiliating one of their artists who actually performed that evening. That was wack.
The moment was funny but not as funny as the image capturing the moment Nikki posted. Wow is that yuck!

Howard Stern had the same outfit (more or less) at the same awards show as Fartman in 1992.
I like Sacha Baron Cohen a lot, but this was clearly scripted and just meh.
BEST EVER! Eminem DESERVES it! He can dish it out, but he can’t TAKE IT when someone else dishes it back! Sarah Palin, Mariah Carey, and anyone else should have this memorialized! Hot damn! Even Bill O’Reilly has to have new found respect for BORAT! F#ck Yeah!
