  • Very poignant because it reminds one of how Leno mangled the Tonight Show legacy, irrespective of high ratings from a crass audience.

Didn’t Carson dislike Leno? This bit must’ve been mandated from higher up. Leno’s foot is impatiently ’shaking’ away, perhaps he’s not so into it.

Spacey doing Carson would be better than Leno on most nights.

  • That’s a terrible Carson. Reminds me of Dana Carvey’s – the voice just waaaay to high. Rich Little still owns that one.

  • He’s got the mannerisms down, but not quite the voice. Almost. He does a great Chris Walken though.

I like KS. His star has obviously dimmed since his red-hot AMERICAN BEAUTY/L.A. CONFIDENTIAL days, but he’s come back nicely with the HBO Recount and 21, which was a solid hit, and both of which he produced.

And unlike other actors who talk-the-theater-talk, Spaey had devoted his career to the UK’s Old Vic. Classy gig.

  • Forget that snore-fest bio-pic he’s planning on Abramoff (people get enough of Washington inside baseball from the 24-hour news cycle – its why political-based docudramas flop). If he wants a hit, do a movie about Johnny. That impression was dead-on, and with a little make-up, Spacey could look like him.
