Their clients include Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Keifer Sutherland, Anne Hathaway, Eva Mendes, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Garner, Matthew Fox, Holly Hunter, Jessica Biel, Channing Tatum, Marc Forster, McG, James Mangold. So it was surprising that rumors began circulating that Management 360 was starting a round of layoffs. Insiders believe the whispers began because the management company recently parted ways with a junior TV lit agent (Alex Hertzberg). But they insist any suggestions this was the start of belt-tightening are “absolutely false”.

whos the jr they just let go?
I don’t know the whole story but Alex did leave to do his own thing but he’s not a “jr” guy. he’s been managing writers for years and has some really good clients
As someone who only dips his itty-bitty toe in the water producer-wise these days (and not that sucessfully at that so maybe I shouldn’t be one to comment) but still obsessively follow the entertainment business these are my thoughts.
Guymon – somewhat of a stand up guy – integrity a little shaky (talk to my former boss SG there)but has a pretty decent literary business in what is usually a loss leader business (but to some extent literary managers don’t bring a lot to the table in general….)
Evelyn – amazing woman amazing list – the lynchpin
Susan – good list and seems to know what she’s doing
Daniel – struggling to say the least.
Kranzler – who?
They are getting a reputation for letting the younger managers there do all the heavy lifting then closing the deal and taking the credit which is a shame because Darren, Bill, and some of the others over there are working very hard.
Hertzberg was a good guy, but not well liked over there for whatever reason. 360′s 6 partners are some of the strangest people on the planet, so if I were him I wouldn’t take it personally.
i have always found Alex to be a weird guy with bad taste. Not surprising he wasn’t well liked.
Alex is a good guy, hard working. Period. Whoever anonymously said he wasn’t well liked seems like someone I wouldn’t like – get a life, dude.
“Seriously” is right. Alex is a good guy, and besides hard working, super smart. He could run a Hollywood Studio, smart. Why is Hollywood full of haters and rumor mongers. I miss the 40′s.
Alex. Weird: a little, but in a good way. Bad taste: not on the basis of his client list. Definitely not a “junior” anything. Don’t know how bad things could have been with 360 since they allowed him to stay for more than a month after he announced his intention to leave.
They need to get rid of David Seltzer. What a waste of space. That guy’s an idiot.
Just stumbled upon this old article and disagree with the rumor mongering about Alex. Alex is truly dedicated to the success of his clients. No one works harder, maybe just as hard, but not harder. For those that think he may be difficult, I ask, don’t you want a rep that fights for you?
