The speakers at the Cable: New Home Of Scripted Television panel were all asked what shows they would snatch from another cable channel. Jackie de Crinis, EVP of Original Scripted Programming at USA Network, said, “There was a time when we were working with a blank canvas and we would have made a big play for Rescue Me.
But today The Closer would be the best fit for the brand.” Nick Grad, EVP of Original Programing for FX Network said he would take Mad Men off the air “so Damages could win more awards”. But the show he felt would fit his network the best was Showtime’s Dexter. Joel Stillerman, SVP of Original Programing, Production, and Digital Content for AMC said he would take FX’s Rescue Me, “and Dennis would become the most well adjusted male lead on our network”. Michael Wright, EVP and Head of Programming for TNT/TBS/TMC, Turner Networks, wanted USA Networks’ Burn Notice for its “relatable heroic guy” and Monk “a show we always wanted”. Tom Zappala, SVP of Acquisitions and Scheduling for Disney-ABC Networks Group, would probably “take a comedy from Turner”. — posted by DHD stringer Rebecca Ford.

I think/wish USA would pick-up The Unusuals. The show has a loyal fan base and based on the official message board, most of us are not otherwise ABC fans. That fact is only getting worse for ABC now that they have canned our show! The show definitely has characters and good writing, but lacks a good air time and any publicity thanks to ABC’s apathy. Would do you say USA?
I wish USA would pick up The Unusuals also
