The actor had been repped by two William Morris agents — Michael Cooper, who put Tommy Lee Jones in No Country For Old Men, and Jim Wiatt.

HOW LONG UNTIL MEL GIBSON LEAVES/GET DROPS????
Looks like it’s No Agency For Old Men….
I love it. Michael Cooper is finally getting what he deserves and Jim Wiatt is losing clients when he is not even an agent. Cooper is full of shit and such a kiss ass. Talks behind every agents back, including some of his so called friends. Was instrumental in getting Louise Ward hired and fired. He has been handed every client he has, although did change Josh Brolin’s career around. Cooper would sell his own mother to get ahead and he was Jim Wiatt’s boy and was given the keys to the kingdom under Wiatt. He won’t be able to pull the wool over Ari’s eyes.
Well well well, how can this happen. You merge tow companies get rid of agents and magically you loose one of the most gifted actors or our time. We hear Denzel is looking at CAA. The quality actors are looking at the less quality types that Endeavor have brought to the table. CAA and UTA will begin seeing more good stuff coming there way. By the way Cooper is and always will be a hack
i guess he was really repped by jim wiatt. he serviced jim’s client.
cooper’s done. his next move working for daddy
Tommy Lee Jones wants to be repped by a man not a mouse.
can’t get a gig right now and his agent just got left for dead (thankfully). makes sense to me.
As much as Gasmer got love on this comment section, Cooper is gonna get vitriol as he deserves
Josh brolin got no country for old men because Robert Rodriguez directed his self-taped audition while Josh was shooting Grindhouse and Marley Shelton was his reading partner. It looked like a scene from the movie-the rest of the stuff he got was incoming calls and Cooper’s assistant was there to answer the phone. Ari will figure this stuff out soon enough.
coop is good, jones is good….that’s life. take it easy everybody
Delpiano is on a roll at CAA…Spacey first, now Tommy Lee…couldn’t happen to a nicer guy….
I am confounded by the negative comments on this thread. In my personal experience, Michael Cooper is one of the best agents in Hollywood. He is smart, witty and absolutely relentless on behalf of his clients. Unlike many in this town, he is never fearful of having a clear point of view and he always fights for what he believes in. He is also fiercely loyal, incredibly driven, and reads more material in a week than most agents read in a month.
Tommy Lee Jones’ career was in the toilet before Michael got involved. Cooper took him from Man of the House and Space Cowboys to No Country for Old Men and In the Valley of Elah. The only person who will suffer from this break-up is Tommy.
Tommy Lee Jones was also recently cast in the John Wells movie Company Men opposite Ben Affleck and Kevin Costner.
And Cooper lobbied very strongly for Josh Brolin to get cast in No Country for Old Men. Brolin has done W, American Gangster and Jonah Hex and he’s working on a Woody Allen movie next.
I don’t understand the lovefest for an agent who has truly been handed EVERYTHING. He is a little ass-kissing turd. His impressions are tiring. He walks the halls here like he owns the place. He is not a good guy at all. I would say don’t trust him as far as you can throw him, but midgets can be thrown pretty far. It will be interesting to watch and see if he can keep his clients without his douche mentor here.
Clearly, someone’s a jealous, insecure, angry moron who has no idea what they’re talking about. sell his own mother? go work for daddy? had everything handed to him? Wow, it’s easy to go to the cliche, isn’t it? Do a little research asshole.
The guy actually works non-stop, reads everything he can get his hands on and is beyond loyal to the people in his life.
