All weekend, I and others regularly reporting box office had Universal's Drag Me To Hell beating Warner Bros' Terminator Salvation for the 3rd spot among Top 10 films. Now weekend actuals have the order reversed. (That almost never happens!) So, for the record, T4 made $16.4M from 3,602 theaters for 3rd place, and DMTH opened to $15.8M from 2,508 runs for the 4th spot. But, as you can see, T4 played in 1,000+ more venues.

It was in 1100 fewer theaters, so it’s more of a win.
Exactly. If you went to see Drag Me 2 Hell, your theater was much more crowded than a theater showing Terminator.
oh please…. “more of a win” ????
do we really have to think movies are “good” or “bad” based on percentages like this. lets just be happy for both movies. I really dont understand why people take certain directors & actors so personally & want to detract from their work. I really wonder if all the naysayers even see the movies/directors/actors they hate.
I saw DMTH this weekend and T4 the previous. I enjoyed both & very happy to see them getting some traction.
I hope to see each of them again. Out of the two flicks I enjoyed DMTH more, Terminator was fun as well, but it was a more serious story. DMTH was not only horro by comdy as well.
Two different plots & two diff experiences.
