Listen to what Ben says about Tom Rothman. Oy vey! But the mogul — surprisingly — took it well. I hear Stiller even sent over T-shirts with Red Hour’s new Fox logo (I don’t want to spoil the punchline) to senior people on the lot. Updates my previous, Ben Stiller Moving Red Hour From DreamWorks To 20th Century Fox

actually, that’s pretty damn funny.
…obviously stiller and co have lots of free time. they should just kiss murdoch’s ass every day
is this funny?
I can’t believe I just wasted the last 4 minutes and 14 seconds of my life!
Tom took it well because he’s a nice guy with a good sense of humor.
Pretty funny stuff. Hey Ben, please hire me.
I have a question.
When does the constant satirizing of egomaniacal behavior become egomaniacal in itself?
Jeez, talk about, Poolander. I’m surprised Rothman can his head up Stiller’s ass when Stiller’s so full of himself already.
Wow! Not one laugh out loud moment. Profoundly lame.
If this is what Tom Rothman bought he should truly be concerned.
There’s nothing like a rip-off of Your Studio and You by Matt & Trey to make me feel nostalgic for the old days when this joke was original.
Might just be me, but the video isn’t working. It says it is “unavailable.”
“Red Hour’s Power Hour” is Fox-tastic! (Redd Foxx is a bit of a stretch, though)
Ben…people beat on me in the 10th grade…ignored me, told me I was nothing and would never make anything of myself. I was ugly, small, talentless.
AND…I surround myself with people who are similarly weak, but have a bond of insecurity…we can crumble at any time, but we have bank accounts. We’re smoke and mirrors…we can’t believe people are so DUMB and keep buying us year in, year out. But we keep jamming you! Movie after movie.
We’re laffing our way to the bank suckas on your stupid dime!!!
Pretty funny. Ballsy. Whatever.
Great video. Glad to have Ben and the whole Red Hour team.
I KNEW people would say negative things no matter what!
So many great things in this video. Happy that it “leaked”.
Hilarious, clever and bold. Great video, thanks.
Come on people this was hilarious.
And since the only genre Rothman doesn’t regularly stick his creatively challenged nose into is comedy they should do alright.
Its hard to feel sorry for the the financial woes of the entertainment industry when junk like this is produced for 800k and probably no more than 500 people will ever see it or for that matter actually get it.
Smells a bit like the Ashton Kutcher holiday videos.
Awesome! Hey, what night is The Ben Stiller Power Hour going to be on?
Very funny and totally NOT a ripoff of the Matt And Trey film….which is also good, but completely different in its content and concept.

This falls into a category that most of you are probably too young to remember: Overhype that presages failure.
Decades ago, as part of a new studio deal, Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer forced Paramount to take out full page ads in the trades, the New York Times and the Wall Street journal hailing them as visionaries.
Paramount did the same kind of thing when DreamWorks came on. Fox did with John Hughes at one point (but only in the trades.) MGM did it a year or two ago with the UA/Tom Cruise Paula Wagner deal. The trades used to be filled with these “welcome to the studio” ads. I’m almost certain that Mel Brooks did one that was a satire. The point is that there have been hundreds of these kind of things over the years.
The Stiller piece is nothing new – just an updated version of this – online, rather than in Variety.
Within a year, Stiller have some creative conflict at Fox.
A picture will deliver disappointing results.
Within eighteen months, both of Stiller’s development executives featured in the video will be gone.
Along the way, there may or may not be some well publicized blow-up between Fox and the Stiller, accompanied by lots of finger-pointing about who was to blame.
And within three years, Stiller will either be a minor player at the studio, or gone.
The video is funny but not quite as funny as the commenter named “Jack” missing the joke about the 800K cost of the thing.
Stiller and Fox have made a fortune together. Something About Mary, Dodgeball, and 2 Night at The Museums. Well over a billion in boxoffice alone. Stiller has had hs partner Cornfeld, for something like 12 years, and their Red Hour deal actually started at Fox. So, you failed as a student.
