• Why the Jewish reference? It is a well known fact that the overwhelming majority of agents are of the Jewish faith. No hate, just facts. Majorities, whether of gender, creed, faith, or race, do exist. I think the comment was witty and true. I do not envy Mr. Silverman his untenable position.

  As for Silverman’s future… well, I can’t say, but I have to say that his complete disinterest in actually doing his job coupled with all the firings and layoffs to made a lot of enemies. Enemies whose memories are probably longer than Silverman’s.

  I mean he would have to come with the next Seinfeld meets CSI to get anyone to pay attention to him.

  Damn, I probably just gave him an idea to use in his next pitch.

  Doesn’t really have the same impact if we don’t know the person saying it is Jewish. But I guess you’re just automatically jumping to anti-semitism.

• I guess Zuckerman never noticed all the shows Silverman “created”, were ripoffs of English shows.

  It’s like someone getting a good grade in school, by copying the test of the A-student they sit next to, and expecting the copier to know something.

  Clearly Silverman didn’t know Jack about creating good TV. Unfortunately people who DO know something about creating good prime time tv shows, now have 5 hours less, of prime time per week, for scripted programing.

  Put Leno back on The Tonight Show. Or give him a Sunday show. NBC used to be the best network of the Big Three. It won’t be again, until NBC has a full prime time schedule, like CBS or ABC. Now its the Big Two networks, because of Silverman.
