Bravo Betsy! she will be incredible and hurt WMA
Betsy is a true class act. Collaborative and exceptionally well versed. They are lucky to have her. Dumb move WMA. So, what’s happening with that pig, Irv Weintraub?
Good hire by ICM. She knows her stuff and has always been a team player even when she worked at WMA where “team” was a dirty word…
they used to have one back in the early/mid ’90s. Run by a guy named Jim Jermanok.
please are you kidding me? this was a failed division before and who cares. these supposed clients are listed with every bureau in the free world. there are real lecture bureau’s out there and neither william morris nor icm are one of them. both failed so why is this news????
you are kidding right? and who cares? this was a failed ICM division before and now they are trying it again? didn’t it also fail also at william Morris? If not why did they get rid of her? These clients are listed with every bureau in the free world? There are real lecture bureaus out there and ICM and william Morris are not one of them.
Good for Betsy. She was always under appreciated at WMA. A hire that was badly managed and under utilized in both new business and booking capability.
The firing of Betsy from WME shows a lack of understanding the big picture and the the role a lecture agent can play in signings and bookings.
I sincerely hope ICM will put her talents to good use.
BEENTHEREBEFORE
Good, maybe Betsy can convince them to hire me too
Ty Pennington lectures??? Christ, this business is really in trouble.
Carol Bruckner ran their most recent Lectures division and was let go (quite ruthlessly and zero class, I might add) by the total boneheads at Rizvi who came in and ran around like chickens w/their heads cut off.
…hey wait…that’s what they’re STILL doing 4 years later! Enjoy the new ICM…full throttle ahead as it flies into the side of a mountain.
BBBBBWWWAAHAHAHAHA!
ICM started a Lecture division? This article should be titled, ICM had one but let it go.
The new ICM lecture Dept. in NY looks like the old one, except the old one actually had good names on the list.
I thank Jesus Christ almighty that I left this trash heap of an agency and didn’t get further in deep as they cut out good people and producers like Carol Bruckner of Lectures and Lisa Roina of Commercials in NY.
When George Quinnville died, ICM NY died with it.
Via con dios ICM NY!
Betsy will do well. Smart, personable and a worker. Bruckner killed the ICM business because she has the personality of a toad and business ethics of a Maddoff. Now maybe APB will be put back into its box…slimbags
AntiHollywood…you got THAT right 100%
When George died…that was the tipping point.
As for ‘jokesonyou’….please elaborate on “How Carol Brucker ‘killed’ ICM business…” It would be interesting trying to read your asinine explanation to an asinine comment like that one…especially since her division was profitable for ICM, although technically “lumped-in” to the Artists division of ICM.
Carol told it like it was…and if she thought you were an asshole (which most people in that company were)…you pretty much knew she thought you were an asshole. Awwwe…the Napoleon-complex’ed Ben Cohn from Rizvi didn’t wikey mean owd Carol!?!
It was hilarious when Ed Limato basically kicked midget Ben out of his office, early-on when Rizvi 1st came in and began swaggering down the hallways trying to discern ass from elbow. Another added to the hitlist.
ICM deserves their current ranking of “shit-heap”…they worked hard to get there.
