Karl Malden was a great actor, I’ve seen him in so many classic movies… RIP
Harve Presnell is said to have died as well.
RIP to some of the really great ones of Hollywood!
One of the all time great actors of the modern era of film.
RIP Mr. Malden.
…and Harve Presnell
Streetcar…Waterfront…Patton…Cincinati Kid. What an actor. Break a leg upstairs, Mr. Malden.
Mr. Malden was great in Gypsy with Roz Russell!!
Rest in Peace.
Gale Storm was a one of the first female stars of comedy television series in the 1950′s, headlined two series that produced over 240 episodes.
Loved Gale Storm in My Little Margie and Oh Susanna! And Karl Malden was wonderful.
I’m old enough to remember watching Gale Storm on TV every week back in the day. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks Gale and Karl, you’ll be missed.
my little margie, quite amazing…….with don porter. makes me soooo old..
I met Karl Malden back in the 1980′s in Hollywood at the now defunct Argyle Theatre. He was directing a play there. I ran up to him and told him how I loved his work. He was all smiles and very kind and asked about me.
There are so many name actors out there who could care less about those of us who honor them. Not Mr. Malden – he was a caring, loving man first, actor second.
Mr. Malden was a Mensch and an adorable man.
Bless him and his family.
Thanks for your mention of Gale Storm. She was a cutie.
I was surprised that you did not write a tribute to Beverly Garland, whom we lost recently. She had an amazing 60-year career and starred in more movies and television series than almost anyone. (If you wrote a tribute and I missed it, I apologize.)
Great memories of both Ms. Storm and Mr. Malden.
I remember SoS as a kid w/him and Michael Douglas and I remember watching Gale Storm in reruns in the early days of Nick at Nite when they ran Margie, Burns & Allen, Mr Ed and such (the 80′s).
Such great talent will be missed…..
Some great lines, in great movies…
“This is my Church!”
“Yer yella! Ya ain’t got the guts!”
“George…”
and on and on.
RIP Mr. Malden
Remembering Gale…
Ever see the movie “It Happened on 5th Avenue?” She was wonderful.
RIP honey.
It would have been nice if Larry King could have stopped for a few minutes to interview people who worked with Karl Malden or Gale Storm. A few minutes away from the same story over and over again about Michael Jackson would have been nice. I even think if Michael Jackson were still alive he would have watched.
Does Larry have any control over who his guests are?
He is old enough to know both of these stars.
I guess I have to see if Turner movies does any interviews. Was Michael Douglas busy.
