Editor-in-Chief Nikki Finke - tip her here.

I don’t remember when B&B became a shadow of its own self. It’s basically a game of musical chairs between different bedfellows (“musical beds”?)
I’m glad for the writers of General Hospital and for LeBlanc.
THE VIEW wins for “Best Make-up” THAT is THE FUNNIEST thing I’ve read in months…. You don’t even need a punchline.
But I don’t wanna live in a world where that embarrassing crapfest The View wins “Outstanding” anything
Ok….can I have half your stuff?
I feel ya Nikki, I don’t want to live in a world where General
MafiaHospital wins writing awards either! Possibly the most poorly written soap on the air right now!Thank you Nikki for publishing the Creative Arts list.
These people deserve the recognition.
But I agree – The View is unwatchable – a bunch of screeching, rude harridans who are horrible role models for today’s young women.
I was kind of shocked to see that B&B had won an Emmy, but once I saw that the other winners included the idiotic Tyra Banks and Rachael Ray, who has no interpersonal skills whatsoever, I quickly scanned the rest of the winners looking for Pia Zadora’s name. What a joke.
Say what you want about The View, but I know plenty of people who love to tune in to Hot Topics. People who can’t bear Elizabeth (myself included) or think Barbara is a pain or Sherri is just plain silly. People who couldn’t stand Rosie but still tuned in. Countless talk shows have emulated The View either in concept or in branded segments (Oprah on Friday, for example). At least when I’m watching Hot Topics I think I’m getting real, unscripted conversation and opinions, on both sides of many issues.
sorry but i think ‘crapfest’ would be the definition of “the bold and the beautiful’.
It would be great if you could refer to the “Daytime Emmys” as just that. The Creative Arts Emmys are coming up and it is a DISTINCTLY different award show.
I’m glad The View won! Everyone disses it and it always loses yet people keep watching and they’ve been on the air 12 years so they must be doing something right!
And I’m just glad somebody finally beat Ellen!
I am pissed off at the way the show was handled; a virtual commerical for CW with endless commercials & pushing of their actors (duh, that was probably part of the deal to air the Emmys). This should be a night of celebration, people want to see the winners and hear their aceptances. The Best Drama Series Award is consistently cut off every year, this year there was no acceptance speech at all! And this is the Big Award! Who needs a yearly salute to Sesame Street? So much time is wasted, yet we the audience are unable to see the actors/actresses in their ‘street clothes’ as themselves which is a nice treat. Do the Daytime Emmys have no control over their own show?
I love Ina Garten s Barefoot Contessa!! Im so happy she won. NBC CBS FOX ABC or any of those networks losing money should broadcast her instead of the crapfest everyone here is complaining about.
Ellen got robbed! Yes, I said it. Ellen is the BEST and this is a fact. I agree about “the crapfest”!! Ellen is the Best host and show.!
The View only got a trophy because EVERYONE that shilled for Obama last year is getting a trophy.
Family Guy is next. Don’t be surprised.
The View only got a trophy because EVERYONE that shilled for Obama last year is getting a trophy.
As was so graciously stated in late 2000: “You lost. Get over it.”
