Just days after she was laid off at WME, Bonnie Bernstein has joined ICM as a senior motion picture talent agent in the New York office. It’s unclear which of her clients like Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti, Bobby Cannavale, Michelle Monaghan, Amber Tamblyn, Steve Buscemi, Jesse L. Martin, Matt Bomer, Ty Burrell, David Morse, and Jason Ritter will follow her. Thanks to the Morris-Endeavor merger, the biggest recipients of talent and lit agents have been ICM and UTA.

Note to WTF – eventually greed blows up in your face and sometimes you can’t fix the disfigurement.
fabulous! bonnie is a total class act and one hell of an agent!
wme is honestly out of its mind. leanne, dawn, sarah lemkin, bonnie, daisy were the more liked people at the company and were a good counter to michelle bohan, elyse, sheinwold and nanjo…
Bonnie is one of the best Agents in the business. Her taste in material and actors is as good as it gets. What was WME thinking? Agents have reputations for being snakes. Bonnie is as honest as the day is long and incredibly bright. Her clients are lucky to have her no matter what the agency. Good day for ICM!
WME was foolish to get rid of her – Bonnie is perhaps THE best agent in NYC who is able to get actors diverse work on the East Coast, as well as developing talent capable of working in LA and still keeping them in the agency’s fold. ICM is smart to grab her, and if she can keep the majority of her clients, will give them a powerful foothold in ‘real actor’ category.
Bonnie is a superstar in NYC — great list of Amazing talent. Finally a good get for ICM.
“Thanks to the Morris-Endeavor merger, the biggest recipients of talent and lit agents have been ICM and UTA.”
Does that really surprise anyone though? There were 5 big ones, of which 2 combined, so that leaves four. And that #4 laid people off, which means only three agencies were in play. And CAA doesn’t need them, so…that really only leaves UTA and ICM.
What, did you think they were going to go to Paradigm or something?!
I interned for Bonnie back in the day. She was really nice, really bright and very professional. Really took care of her clients and they loved her, especially Paul. Am sure she will do great at ICM. WME loss.
Great Hire. Bonnie is an incredible talent. I hope her roster is smart enough to follow. Unless of course they think they are the top “2%”.
