It’s had a rocky start, but NBC is committed to the “Back 9″.

Why the quotes around “Back 9″? Is the back 9 not real, Nikki? Are you quoting someone? Are you being ironic?

Does “Back 9″ refer to the remaining 9 viewers this show has?
Leno had a 1.2 demo the other night. Affiliates are scrambling for the exits.

Show’s awesome. You can kill NBC for a lot of things, but Thursday night is off limits, Great two hours of television followed by a ridiculously bad one. People were saying that half hour comedies were dead for the last few years, now they are on the uptick, thanks in large part to the success of 30 Rock and The Office.

Are you kidding? Big Bang, HIMYM and Two and A Half are the reasons comedy is coming back. NBC comedies get all the press, CBS comedies get all the viewers.

Yeah in the 49-nursing home demo. Leno would make a great addition to that network.

You made me laugh. So you’re actually calling for giving Leno an additional hour per week, from 5 to 6. Yes, I think that’s NBC’s problem, not enough Leno. And i’m sure the NBC affiliates would love their late news to follow a 3-hour Leno marathon on the weekends. Even Zucker wouldn’t go for this. Assuming Leno has an ounce of pride left — and maybe we should not assume that – these last few weeks or months until cancellation will be his last series.
That lound bang on the ABC lot was the door slamming on Leno when the reviews and ratings for the new show came in.
I do like Mercy. And Parks and Rec isn’t bad.

Mad Man, you’ve got the right idea on moving Leno to the weekend but I think the Thursday night 8-10 comedy lineup ought to stay sacrosanct. Community is good stuff and Parks and Recreation has been much improved. I’d keep Law and Order on Wednesday at 10PM instead of Dateline and put SVU on Tuesday. Then move maybe Chuck to 10PM on Thursdays. But moving Leno to the weekend would save a lot of face for NBC. It would still save a lot of money over a scripted show and it could actually compete with the stuff it would be going up again.

Can they FINALLY please cancel Leno’s show once and for all and just admit NBC screwed up?
