I was expecting something like one of his vanity prod co cards, but this is wonderful
Hey, he does have a sense of comedy! Couldn’t really tell from his shows…
“Hey, he does have a sense of comedy! Couldn’t really tell from his shows…” Humor is the juxtaposition of human dignity to the absurd. This man is funny his show are funny, I have no idea how you could think that he would not have a “sense of comedy”!
Not funny, racist, and offensive. I’ve always thought Lorre was beyond contempt.
Just curious, because I probably don’t want to have a conversation with you about this, but how exactly is this racist?
Because i cannot understand the affirmative action mind, please tell us what is racist about Chucks card
How is this racist?
He said it was NOT funny, racist or offensive!
If that’s what he meant he should have written “Not funny, racist OR offensive.” Either his grammar is bad or he thinks it’s racist.
Apparently Brandan thinks it is anti privileged white guy.
Wonder whose idea this card was. Because everyone knows Chuck
steals all his best ideas.
Jesus Lapidus, get over it already. what’s 20 to 30 million dollars between friends, really? just saying.
Please explain how that’s racist? I didn’t know that homelessness was a race.
I always love reading the snarky remarks of jealous people. Don’t worry guys. Maybe, some day, someone will buy your spec script or hire you as a staff writer.
In the meantime, you’re learning valuable skills on that temp job of yours.
Brandan, I’ll give you not funny, but how is the card racist?
@Brandan: Um, what the f**k?
I can understand your finding it offensive, and more so, not funny, but how the hell is that racist? The only kernel I could find in your argument is that he’s somehow portraying a black buy in the hobo image. But honestly, what the hell are you getting at?
god bless chuck. good man.
His shows are the best looking sitcoms on TV.
They look like they’re shot on film. When I watch the other sitcoms, I get a headache. They have the video look, that makes me want to change channels.
They are shot on film.
They’re shot on HD.
Nope. They’re shot on 35mm. At least 2.5 men is.
Chuck Lorre understands cinematography. He knows when the look of a show properly supports and exhibits the content.
Perfect Chuck Lorre – alone for the holidays with his Hollywood Star and his ego. Having worked with him I can truly say a nastier man does not exist
Brandan — “Racist”? Are you kidding me? What the CHRIST are you talking about?
Amen Jackie Venice!! To all of those bitter writers: let’s try to back up some of our opinions. Like, why do think Chuck Lorre is not funny? And what makes you the expert? Clearly it’s not years of experience or success, or you wouldn’t have so much time to post your little comments.
This is blatantly racist.
Not sure, but I think Brandan is an incompetent writer that didn’t bother to proof his post.
My guess is that it was supposed to be: Not funny or racist or offensive.
Unless it was supposed to be: Not funny, but racist and offensive.
But it’s definitely not racist or offensive & it’s funny. Not falling off the chair funny, but still funny!
chuck should thank his lucky stars Jimmy Burrows decided to direct his pilots (2 and a Half, Big Bang).
they probably would have never seen the air if it wasn’t for him. Chuck Lorre was still writing the theme for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES when JB was collecting Emmy’s for his Midas Touch as a director.
I mean look at this card. See how funny Chuck is without him….
Brandon is confusing his definitions. That’s what you get for attending film school. Go back to Ohio.
Chuck Lorre – How many times can one man rework “The Odd Couple” concept and make hit TV Shows?
Racist? IT IS THE SAME DUDE IN BOTH PHOTOS. How is it racist or offensive? He is merely pointing out he would be homeless if there were no sitcoms.
It never ceases to amaze how quickly online comments devolve into either racist comments or accusations of racism. Let’s grow up people. The Big Bang Theory is smart, sweet, excellent sitcom that addresses different viewpoints often: Woman in science, Jews, Indians, Midwesterners, Geeks, Christians, etc.
Perhaps you’ll explain to those of us with functioning brains why you think illustrating his own life with and without sitcoms makes Chuck Lorre a racist?
Then, perhaps you’ll itemize your accomplishments in life and charitable contributions to explain why anyone should care that you felt compelled to attack the amusing and self-mocking Christmas card of the creator of the funniest show on TV?
Hint: dropping the stupid bomb on Chuck Lorre belongs in neither the accomplishments column, nor in the charitable column, you troglodytic, compulsive self-lover.
Hey guys – the joke is Chuck was a struggling musician before he got into writing. His talent + drive + the sitcom world has provided huge success. A still struggling musician in his 50′s is basically dirt poor.
If only Brandon hadn’t said “racist,” then I could read what people think of the card themselves.
This cards is not racist. It is incredibly insensitive to the plight of homeless people, who he uses as fodder for his humor to show the world how rich he is. I knew him when he was a writer at DIC working on Heathcliff the Cat. He had a huge ego then, and that was long before it got out of control. I would like to know what he does for the community, and the homeless people in particular, who are now the fodder for cheap laughs on his Xmas cards.
Oh for crying out loud.
Unless this is satire, in which case… lmao.
i am a huge fan of nikki’s, and love the way she’s taken down reporter and variety. but whenever there is ‘comedy’ on the site i cringe.
